I have to believe that the reason this place is rated so well is because it’s beloved by locals. As an out-of-towner passing through, we had high hopes based on reviews, but boy, were we disappointed. Service was fine - fast and to the point, but not warm in any way. The food was barely edible. It reminded me of 5th grade camp. My taco plate (which was recommended by the guy taking my order), had about 2 oz. of ground beef and a very small amount of toppings as well. The food wasn't good and wasn't bad, it was just alright. Besides the food being just mediocre the service was very good! Ordering was easy and the food was delivered fast. Unfortunately the seating area was very dirty. The tables had food and bird poop on them and all the trash cans that were next to the tables all stank, and lastly there were a LOT of flies around so you have to constantly watch your food. I had the chicken nachos! I have tasted them before and always thought they were tasty, but this was my first visit in person. It was a bit busy because it was the lunch hour. Despite the busyness, it took only 15 minutes for my order. The seating area I do not recommend sitting at because it was a bit funky although it is conveniently shaded.
