Barracudas — Restaurant in Hobbs

This is a Hobbs hidden gem 🤩 I always heard about how good it is, but I never saw where it was located. From the outside, it does not look like much. But when you walk in, your jaw just may drop. The decor is beautiful. My favorite was the aesthetic plant wall. There’s so much space with room to really party in the back.

The variety of hot sauces at the table, chef’s kiss. I love a place where I don’t have to ask for my favorite condiment ☺️ The food was yummy. I took a risk and tried something new after our waitress explained what it was (the menu is in partially in Spanish, and I only know a little). The shrimp in my tacos ensenada were fried, and at first I was not sure about them because I am not a fried shrimp lover. I will eat them, but I do not yearn for them. Well, these were flavorful, and the breading was not bad at all. The sauce for the tacos did not have a spicy kick to me, but it was packed with flavor as well. The hot sauce and salsa at the table came in handy to give me the fire I desired. My favorite menu item was the charro beans, one of my favorite Mexican dishes. I had to wait on it, but it was worth it because the pork cracklings were made with love and care. The beans had a savory taste that touched my soul.

The service was slow at the lunch hour, but there was only one server. There were not that many people, so that may explain why there was only one server. Our server was still awesome and did the best she could. She did her thing, but she needed...

We had a party of seven for dinner, when we sat down we were told by the waitress there couldn't be no party's larger than six. Uderstandable due to covid, after about 30mins a party of 7 came in. They sat exactly the same place we sat originally but the difference was they were never told to move. When we asked the waitress why she made us move and not them her answer was they wouldn't listen. Little did she know we watched her the whole time and not once did she ask them to move. She went out of her way to give them a chair to be more comfortable. Besides that the service was not the best and food wasn't either. We won't be going back. Oh BTW waitresses should be wearing masks...

Read this before you eat here!!! They charged us 10 dollars twice, but my tip was $10 so I'm confused as to what happened there. We will be calling to figure it out, hopefully nobody is stealing from the guest I can't imagine what that would do to the reputation of the restaurant. As soon as I walked in it smelled delicious. Fairly clean restaurant. The service was good but my server would wait too long to refill my drinks. The seafood selection was impressive I wish they had more pictures on the menu. The food could have been seasoned better but I suppose it should be seasoned by the guest for the best...
