What an embarrassment. This used to be my favorite restaurant. Invited my family here to share my father‘s 90th birthday. Many ordered steak… The 8 ounce steak was smaller than 6 ounce steak noticeably. When brought to the manager Patrick’s attention he argued with my sister, then gave some excuse about how cooking makes it smaller. ( both were ordered “medium“) Eventually he agreed to bring an 8 ounce steak. By the time it showed up everyone else had finished dinner. The 8 ounce steak was barely cooked even though it was ordered “medium“. It appeared raw in the center. At this point I took the manager aside and said please don’t charge me for my sisters dinner she’s not eating it we are leaving. He Jumped up from the table and made a big scene about how I had “touched him. “. Yes, I touched him on the arm to lead him away from the table and not embarrass me in front of my family. A second manager, Paul, diffused the situation and compensated us for the embarrassment and he profusely apologized for Patrick’s behavior. I appreciated that. However the damage had already been done. The dinner and family event to celebrate my father, a Korean war veteran, had been ruined. My message to Patrick… You are in the wrong business. The restaurant business is a people business if you cannot take a woman gently touching you on the arm to lead you away from the table to discuss a problem In private, you need a different type of work. It is also very unprofessional to argue with a customer at the table rather than knowledge there was a mistake. You embarrassed me and you are an embarrassment to the red...
Read moreWe have been going to Redfire for years for their steaks alone. However, tonight will be our last night. The waitress Brittany, was extremely inattentive and lacked follow up. We asked for bread for the table and after not seeing her for 15 mins, we asked another waitress whom advised that they’d run out 2 hours ago! When Brittany finally reappeared, we let her know that we’d been made aware that they were out of bread, and she was just as surprised as us. Amongst the subpar service provided by the waitress the manager, Cindy, asked all other tables ”how everything was going” EXCEPT OUR TABLE. After recently bing the bill, (over $200 no less) we see that we were charged $7 for water. This is something that a waiter should give you a heads up about. We never do this, but we asked to speak to the manager. We provided Cindy (the manager) with feedback for the waitress and also for her. We let her know how disappointed we were that she asked the nearby tables about their experience but not ours. She immediately lied to my face and said that she DID come by and ask us. When I asked “really, what was our response?” She began to stammer and said “ well you guys were chewing and everything was fine!” I repeated that she didn’t come by to ask us about how we were because we would have gladly told her, respectfully. I will be following up with corporate as this lack of service is abhorrent and...

I was refused Service today because I had a service dog accompanying me. The manager refused to read the relevant law when I pulled it up on my smartphone. This is directly from ada.gov website and only required a few seconds to read but he insisted without a vest and Identification on the dog I wouldn't be served. Although his language was polite his demeanor was quite rude.
"Q8. Do service animals have to wear a vest or patch or special harness identifying them as service animals? A. No. The ADA does not require service animals to wear a vest, ID tag, or specific harness."
That quote is from question 8 in the government website frequently asked questions.
It's been law over 30 years and no excuse for not obeying it. In addition no recognized identification exists. If it did I'd love to get one but those places who sell such identification aren't real. In addition my dog was wearing a patch and tag identifying him as a service dog. When I pointed that out he insisted the dog must also have a vest.
Now I have to spend my afternoon filing police reports and ada complaint when I would have preferred a burger and a drink.
I'm certain the apologies will flood in especially when this reaches corporate level, but I'm going to make sure they never violate the rights of another disabled client.
I don't make the law but I do abide by it and so must this...
