I’ve probably been to this restaurant 100 times. Not all visits are perfect, which nobody should expect at any restaurant. That said, it is clear they are constantly looking for ways to improve/maintain the food offerings, service and atmosphere.
The recent tweak to the taco Tuesday specials made it more appealing to us- with very affordable add-ons and drink specials and no longer having a minimum order size to take advantage of a reduced price per taco.
The main reason I was compelled to leave this review was our experience last night when we came in for dinner on date night without our kid. My wife ordered their Steak special entree which came with rapini, carrots and potatoes. Portion size was generous, but the taste and quality was outstanding. Would have been pleased to receive this exact dish at a high end steakhouse in Philly.
We most frequently pop in for a quick snack and drink but after such an impressive meal, we will add this to our rotation for date night...
Read moreI simply do not understand how a restaurant owner could not understand the expectation of exceptional service. I do not go out to eat at a restaurant for the food alone. I can cook at home to eat. Eating out should be “an experience”. Speaking of food…nothing special at all. Overpriced for nothing special. We sit down and the host leaves behind one copy of three different menus. Was I supposed to sit on my dates lap so that we could read them together or was my date supposed to read them aloud to me? Ridiculous. He leaves behind two plates and one set of silver wear wrapped in one napkin. The waitress notices and then asks if we needed another set of silverware. No, thank you. One of us will eat with our hands my date feeds me as all good men should do or do I need to beg for another set? Forget it. Never again. I guess they are in business to grow their business with one-time guests. Not a great business model for sure until you are in Times Square. One...
Read moreI ordered the Norwegian Salmon off of the Special of the Day menu. The waitress came back 3 times to ask me which salmon I wanted (there was another salmon option). Then another waitress came to our table and asked for the 4th time which salmon I wanted. I said for the 4th time I still want the Norwegian Salmon, which I pointed to on the menu again for the 4th time. When my order arrived it was the wrong salmon entre, really? Then the manager came to our table and asked how things were, knowing things weren’t going well, so why ask such a stupid question. I told her to just box my meal (by that time my friend already finished eating her leather grilled chicken). She said she’ll send both the wrong and the correct order home with me. Then the original waitress brought our check and said, “we’re not charging you for both orders, just one.” Unbelievably bad...
