Was there Tuesday night. Brook was working taking food to everyone, getting beers, making drinks, busting her but as normal. She's fantastic. Her help behind the bar, don't know her name, a reddish burnett, was more intrestded in chit-chat with some of the customers at the bar than taking care of the rest. The topper was when my girl friend asked for a box to take some leftover wings home, she was looking straight at her, then turned her head and went back to chit-chat with another couple. Brook seen this and brought her a box with out asking. Knowing that they split tips, I did leave my normal 20%, but hind sight, I would have given the tip directly to Brook & left the other girl with nothing . Exactly what she earned. What happened to Angie & Brook. They could run that bar no matter how many people there were . My hats off to Brook, but the other lady, no thanks. It will probably be a while before I go back. The music that night wasn't the best either. It may have helped if the would have turned it down a notch so you didn't have to scream to someone sitting next to you at the bar. Bill Baleys has good food, I've been there many times. I don't know if this is caused by the new management or not, but it definitely not the same. They need to take a look at who they have working for them. I would hate to see how the service was with out Brook being there. Thank you Brook. She needs...
Read moreSeriously Disappointed - Where's the Fun at Old Bill Bailey's?! Listen, I went to Old Bill Bailey's in Lancaster expecting a decent neighborhood bar vibe. What I got was... well, just "bar." And not a particularly exciting one at that. The biggest letdown? NO POOL TABLE. Seriously? In this day and age, a bar without a pool table feels like a restaurant without fries. It's a staple! My friends and I were looking forward to shooting some pool, having a few drinks, and just generally having a good time. Instead, we were met with a gaping void where a glorious eight-ball table should have been. We ended up just nursing our beers, feeling utterly bored. The atmosphere was… fine, I guess. Nothing special to write home about. But the complete absence of any engaging entertainment, specifically a pool table, left a really sour taste in my mouth. What are people supposed to do here besides just sit and stare at each other? Make awkward small talk? Old Bill Bailey's, you need to seriously consider adding a pool table. It's a basic requirement for a decent bar in my book, and its absence makes your establishment feel dull and frankly, not worth a return visit. There are plenty of other places in Lancaster where I can actually do something while I have a drink. Don't waste your time here if you're looking for any kind of fun beyond just sitting. Huge thumbs down for the lack of a pool table. Get with...
Read moreI showed up with a group of 13 from out of town unannounced around 8pm on a Saturday night.
There were two servers and a bartender. All immediately greated us and arranged the tables to accommodate the group.Drinks were ordered and served very fast.
When the meals were ordered they were with a different server and it appeared she was new as she was unfamilure with the menu and order process. The other server assisted her as needed however this confused some things as a couple of the orders were mixed up and a few drinks were not served yet showed up on the bill.
The food took a little longer than expected but was well worth the wait but the quanity and quanity exceed my expectations. The burgers were very large and grilled to perfection with plenty of cheese and toppings. The bar also provided extra fries to make up for the food order issue.
The bar is a neighborhood bar and the patrons were very friendly. The bathrooms were small but clean and the outdoor smoking area was excptional with heat, keno, and music.
I will definitely return and would have no problem taking my family there for...
