We went for breakfast on a Sunday morning. The place was packed but we were seated right away. It took a little while to get menus and drink orders. Our waitress was nice and friendly. We waited about 40 minutes for food after ordering (omelets, home fries, toast, pancakes, nothing complicated). When our waitress was distributing plates at the table, I saw my omelet had diced ham in it and said, "This must not be my order" (vegetarian omelet) but every omelet on the table had ham in it. Waitress said she was certain that it was a vegetarian omelet but when I pointed out the random pieces of ham, she apologized and took my plate back to the kitchen. Only to return moments later with the SAME FOOD on the SAME PLATE but without the pieces of meat I had pointed out. The cook said it was as ordered. Stunned, I accepted the plate and attempted to eat. But it's really difficult to enjoy a meal when you are skeptical of what might be in it. I ate some home fries, which were not very good, but couldn't bring myself to eat the omelet especially after discovering additional cubes of ham mixed in with the veggies. I do not think ham was intentionally added to my omelet but just accidentally mixed in during preparation. When I complained to the waitress again, she was very apologetic and offered to replace the meal (which I declined) and ended up taking it off our bill. However, I still cannot believe the cook sent it back to the table after the first complaint. This restaurant is obviously not vegetarian friendly at all despite having at least one menu item labeled as such. I would not recommend this place to anyone (Really, if this reminds you of your grandma's cooking, I'm sorry for you.) but especially not to people with any type of specific dietary restrictions or needs, even something as simple as expecting a vegetarian meal to not...
Read moreAtmosphere was beautiful & very comforting. Service from the kind lady whom took my order, was amazing but service from the cook(s), was disappointing.
This was my partner and I, first time here & I saw the great reviews based on the French toast alone. I was craving French toast & decided to come check it out for myself.
Unfortunately, my French toast was more like fried bread. It wasn't even fully dipped in egg yolk or cooked, all the way. Half of it was gooey uncooked bread and the other half was dry and spongey😞
The sausage &cheese omelet i got wasn't terrible but im not a fan of sausage links so it didnt taste the greatest because that was clearly what was put in it.
Got white toast with the omelet & it was barely toasted bread, super dry and flimsy.
My partner got pancakes & although they looked delicious, they smelt doughy. So, it didnt even taste like a pancake, it was weird.
Overall our bill was $40 plus the $5tip for our Togo order & we spent $45 total on food that even our dog, won't eat. And thats weird bc he usually eats dang near everything.
But also, the size of the togo coffee that came with my partners meal, was pitiful.
I love & support mom & pop places like this, so im pretty disappointed overall because its obvious to me that whoever the cook(s) was that day, he/she/they definitely didnt put love into the food they prepared. At least not for my order.
Although Im not in that area often. If or when i am in the future, I might stop by & give it another try.
All the servers there definitely seemed to be on the gogo though so kudos to them and thank you to the kind lady who took my order. Sorry I forgot your name but I appreciate your time, kindness &...
Read moreMy husband and kids and I walked in for breakfast never been here before. We waited about 15 minutes behind the line no one behind the counter decided to say Hi or acknowledge our presence. We sat there for about 18 minutes. I have worked in customer service for 17 years and I was always taught that you are to acknowledge. The person coming in the door within 15 seconds of them walking through that door with a smile. A great attitude and to say hi how can I help you. We got none of that and after 18 minutes of waiting. We kind of saw the sign there and it sad. Please do not see at any dirty table so we figured that we could go ahead and see ourselves because there was no sign or anything saying otherwise so we. Sat down the hostess finally came. Over with? A horrible attitude. Asking who helped us and were we on a wait list. I told her no and I explained to her everything that had happened up to waiting not being acknowledged and the sign and she told us that we had to. Get on the waiting list and it was going to be even longer than what we had already been waiting so we decided to leave. We will NEVER to go to that place again. Solely based on their customer service they are rude and customer service sucks. We decided to go to Deb's corner cafe. And we got greeted right away we got our seats. The food was amazing and the service was amazing....
