Quinns Blue Plate — Restaurant in Holden

My gf and I have been a few times. The food is ok, she likes it more than I. We went last night and there was 4 couples ahead of us. As we walked in, people had to move as no waiting area, just standing by the door. One tube couple left. The couple in front of us pointed out several tables not cleaned off and several corner booths empty. They finally cleaned off tables, sat two couples in front of us. We were told 15 mins as was the couple in front of us. My gf went to the restroom and another couple come in. The said they were a party of 6. The hostess immediately sat them despite them only being two people. The couple in front of me asked why they can just go sit and they’ve been waiting. The hostess says the corner booths are reserved for 4 or more, she’s not allowed to seat anyone under 4 there. The man pointed out the people she just sat was only 2 not 6 and they should be made to wait until their “party” gets there as they might know of the 4 person minimum and just say that to sit down. The woman pointed out that they have been waiting so long that if they had been seated when the got there, they would have been served by now. They then left. My gf came back and asked what happened and I told her. She and I agreed with the previous couple and left as well. Within 20 mins 3 couples left due to poor service. Not worth the hassle...

I normally get the Cajun ribeye and its really good. The calamaris good too but i havent had it in a while. Today I tried the onion rings. They were ok, nothing special, but they have real onions. We also tried to mac n cheese, it was bland but then we added salt and it made a huge difference and it was good. We also tried some ribeye they had on special today. Todays ribeye special had some shiny green sauce on it, it was limey, it was good. I prefer the Cajun ribeye thats on the regular menu better but the one from today was good. They definitely know how to make a steak. My girlfriend tried the carrots and said they were ok. I dont like cooked carrots so idk but i uploaded a pic of them for reference.

Idk what they did to the clam chowder but the last 2 timea ive had it, its been now very watery and tastes funny. I didnt eat it and I wont order it again. Its a shame too though because it used to be really good.

Food was good, servers were great! Food was reasonably priced and typical of what you would expect to pay. We got a fisherman platter, an order of Calamari, a bowl of clam chowder, a large order of chicken wings, a hot dog w french fries and a soda... and the bill was like $70... nice size portions (and im a big girl...). Thanks for being great and please Keep up...

This was our 2nd trip to this restaurant. The first time was great. Unfortunately this time was so disappointing we didn't even get to order. My 94 year old mother who is disabled and on oxygen needs to sit in a booth. There were many, many open chairs and 5 large booths open. We proceed to one of the large booths in back to sit. The first waitress told us we couldn't, only 8 people can sit there. We would have to wait for a smaller booth.i asked if my mother could just wait in this booth since there were 4 other large booths empty Still until a small booth was open. She hesitated but said ok. A second waitress came up to us and again told us to move. I explained the other waitress said we could wait here for the next small booth. She walked away. My mother felt so unwelcome She wanted to leave. At that point all 5 large booths were still empty. There were many chairs at the bar and many hard tables still open to accommodate lots of customers. It's really sad that a 94 year old senoir with such obvious disabilitys , and so excited to be eating out felt she had to leave I guess profit is more important than respect and kindness for...
