Pt 2. Iâm revising this comment because the owner of the shop clearly skimmed what I said and retaliated playing victim. If you read their comment you will see they say âweâve even seen people read the signs and still parkâ thatâs because the signs you have posted are misleading. The signs say âno overnight parking from 12am - 6amâ which is why people think itâs okay to park there. The solution is to post a sign saying âprivate property, customer parking onlyâ itâs not rocket science but the fine print is such a small detail that it almost feels wrong. Many of the owners of nearby shops say yall own all three buildings and control that parking lot like a monopoly. Wouldnât be surprised if yall were connected to the towing company (which legacy already does sketchy things to make their money) and run this as a part time gig to make money under the table.
Plain and simple itâs messed up and you guys know itâs messed up because this has happened for years. 1 sign is all it would take, but it has to be clear that itâs private property and that only customers during open business hours can park there. Hate private businesses that have no heart. Maybe call legacy and tell them to stop patrolling your lot.
Pt 1. Clearly after reading other reviews these guys do nothing to help themselves. They have a jealousy issue or something. These business owners claim to have no part in the towing aspect of things. However, signs posted say no parking overnight but trick you because in the fine print say (current customer parking only) legit we were gone for no more than 15 minutes before our car was gone (mind you we parked at 9:30 and came back at 9:55). Iâve never met a business that is so fast to tow cars. Itâs a shame because I like supporting and eating at small local owned businesses, but when negative things happen like this it makes u want to post negative comments. Maybe if youâd allow people to use your parking lot thatâs legit dirt on the hours you guys arenât even open, it would make people more inclined to try your coffee out. Please just change the damn signs thatâs all I ask. For pete sakes itâs not just me leaving a review, listen to the people and find a solution please. Every local business around them say kokopelli...
Read moreLet me start off by saying I understand we are in the time of Covid-19. However, the day I tried Kokopelli (the week of Oct. 12, 2020), I was extremely disappointed.
The barista didn't seem to care to be there. I tried a little small chit chat as I waited for my friend, and she was definitely not in the mood to talk to the customer. Every table inside is unavailable due to Covid - totally understandable. We chose this place because we knew there was outside seating.
We were the ONLY people (2 of us) there for a little over an hour. I asked if I could use the restroom and was told there isn't a restroom available to the public. This seemed unnecessary. There were 2 of us at the coffee shop (3 if you include the unhappy barista). I get it...Covid...but seriously?!? I'm a paying customer who has now been at your establishment for about an hour and you won't allow me to use the restroom?
The coffee was fine. I could get the same somewhere else, and my friend and I decided that the next time we meet up that it will be somewhere else. I can get the same type of coffee and a better experience elsewhere. I'm more than disappointed as I like to support local establishments, but I don't ever see myself going back.
**Edit: In response to the owner. Your staff/barista was rude. If you want a reason for 2 stars and something you can fix. She was rude. Period. Clearly did not want to be working there. The bathroom thing - fine, I understand during Covid. I also mentioned that in the beginning of my review. However, with 2 people at your establishment it wouldn't seem like a big deal to let 1 person use the facilities instead of telling them to go across the street to the gas station. If the gas station can open their restroom to the public, then why shouldn't...
Read moreI have had the "delight" of having a satellite location in my building at the University of Utah. Most of my coworkers and I have had bad experiences such as: the coffee always tastes off, the half and half almost ALWAYS being curdled and being told "oh it's just like that because it's really cold.". when it is not curdled (not very often), the container is obviously never washed because when I open it, the lid looks crusty inside and smells of feta cheese. They are almost always out of something(s) that are pretty vital like different soda flavors, honey, fundamental sandwich ingredients (that are on their regular menu), etc. And when they are out, sometimes they are out for weeks at a time. The food always seems questionable and comes from questionable sources - today's salad came with stale breadsticks from Olive Garden. Does Olive Garden sell to other restaurants, and in individually sized take home bags? Another time, they showed me the bag of breadsticks to show me what they look like and I saw a big "manager's special - clearance" tag on it. Lastly, their food just isn't that great. Today (the last straw), I payed 7 dollars for a Chef Salad with two of the aforementioned breadsticks. What I got was reminiscent of what I used to get in my elementary school lunches - a bunch of iceberg lettuce, about 6 tiny squares of cut up mystery meat (looked like confetti squares), 2 black olives, 4 tiny squares of cheese (also confetti sized), and some salad dressing. Basically, a pretty crappy salad. The only reason I keep going to this place is because of it's location. If I had enough time to walk to another cafe...
