Moo Moo's Delights — Restaurant in Hollins

My girlfriend and I had the pleasure of stumbling across Moo Moo’s Delights and decided to both indulge on the recommendations of the owner, because the assortment of eclectic flavors was just too overwhelming for the senses for me to make an adult decision on my own. Lol! I went with a Brown Butter Bourbon Truffle & Oatmeal flavored ice-cream sundae, with a delicious Chilli-dog Combo on the side and good lord was it wonderful! The Brown Butter Bourbon Truffle and Oatmeal flavored ice creams were equally rich and creamy, with a deep, luxurious flavor that had just the right hint of bourbon and a comforting taste reminiscent of freshly baked oatmeal cookies. It was perfect, I tell ya! As for the chili dog, it was savory and flavorful, with just the right amount of spice to give it a little kick without overpowering the other flavors. I would have ordered a second one, but I was really enjoying the conversation with the shop owners and didn’t want to continue stuffing my face with deliciousness while learning about the sights & sounds of the local neighborhood. I am so surprised and completely in love with the amazing atmosphere full of the most loving and welcoming feelings from these wonderful people that run this store! My daughter and i came to grab a quick scoop or two and i feel like left with extra friends. The hug i received almost made me cry because of how warm and loving it was, and i just can't see myself going to another ice cream shop after this. It was the most memorable experience I've had in a while. She took time to explain all kinds of things about some of the purchases that i was making and they were things i genuinely didn't know. That was amazing and the information is invaluable. I came here as a first time customer and I'm leaving as a future regular of this fine establishment. The ice cream and food are very flavorful and enjoyable. I almost forgot to address what should be the main attraction to this place, but it's the feeling of warmth and acceptance that hooked me. Also, I don't know if they are aware that their food is priced as low as it was in the 90's, but the freshness sure screams 2025. Visited Daleville for a last minute getaway for Labor Day weekend and drove past the ice cream shop on the way to the hotel. Decided to look it up cause who doesn’t like stopping for ice cream in a new town. Saw all the raving reviews and decided to try it after dinner. Although it was near closing I was still able to get my order in and enjoy it with no rush from the owners. I got the Cowabunga milkshake and went with cookies n cream and it did not disappoint!
