Immediately walking through the doors you can tell if you are not a local you are not welcomed. But regardless we gave it a try, the waitress was rude, and very impatient as if we were interrupting her day for showing up (2 kids 3 adults) We ordered our food I got the Mess with "melted cheese" which was very bland and had to add a truck load of salt and pepper to make it edible, and the cheese was shredded and cold. The biscuit was definitely old and dry. My wife got the breakfast sampler and she kept commenting how the gravy reminded her of a school cafeterias. My 10, and 9 year old gor charged for adult meals but recieved in my opinion kid portions. One got sausage on the side and it was a frozen sausage patty (giant red flag as far as breakfast places go) The french toast was tough for my daughter to eat, and my other two kids got pancakes were rubbery. And my sons eggs had a hair in it. Waitress left the check and diddnt even offer a way for my kids to take there breakfast with them (they barely touched it) and we paid the bill up front without even a goodbye from our waitress. On a positive note the place was clean, and on the tables they have a little of everything you may need (besides napkins) Needless to say there are far superior places for a good hot breakfast in the area, and certainly more...
Read moreThis is a solid breakfast place! Our first time in and it looked updated and modern from the outside, located in a newer strip mall. Inside was homey and quaint and cozy feeling. Everything looked clean and it wasn't loud with blasting music or loud talking. The cook serenaded us with a quiet whistle the entire visit, he whistled a tune while he cooked which was unique and joyful. The food was solid, fresh and yummy. I had a regular breakfast with crispy bacon, fluffy eggs scrambled and fresh (not frozen) home fries cooked and seasoned perfectly. I also had the BISCUIT!! Oh my! Check out photo, it was the best!! You won't find a frozen potato here, they don't even offer hash browns on their menu thank God! 👏👏 my husband had "The Mess" and my FIL did too. It was an astounding amount of gravy over the food. I tried the gravy and it was seasoned and tasted good- they do know how to make country gravy. My MIL had pancakes and they looked good as well.
We will go back there! My only complaints: our water wasn't refilled once, and they don't have flavored creamers (but they let you bring your own) and the "jam" packets were cheaper type of jelly and not really jam. The "butter is a margarine blend too.
Small complaints for a nice place with good wait...
