I had called up 3 Harbor Freight Tools locations today 01/01/21 Daytona Beach, Port Orange, and Palm Coast. I wanted to purchase a Black 56" US General Tool Box (Chest and Cabinet). Daytona location awnsers the phone and I can already tell I'm inconveniencing the guy on the phone by asking if the box I wants in stock. Then he puts me on hold for 5 minutes to "check inventory" the phone hangs up. So I call back same condescending attitude. None of the locations had matching black top and bottom boxes but Daytona had matching green ones. Not a big deal it holds my tools and I need it to lock. I had cash in hand and specifically rented a U-haul truck to come and pick the boxes up from the Daytona location despite being talked to like trash. Walk in grab the bar code cards for my purchase and walk up to the counter. Show the guy a 10% off coupon and he says "that's expired. It expired 2 days ago". I looked at it and it expired yesterday 12/31/20. I genuinely thought it was still good. I thought I had a good coupon so I checked real quick on my phone. No big deal I had a truck and I was determined to walk out of there today with a new box even if that meant paying full price. As I'm standing there with no one behind me he goes "can you move over there so I can keep the line moving?" which was non- existent. It sounded like the same guy from on the phone. Condescending! I walked out and told him that he lost out on over a thousand dollar sale. Dude looked at me like he could care either way. Went to Port Orange got the bottom box in black. Joel helped me out and said the top boxes in black should be in soon. He loaded the tool box up in the truck with the forklift. I signed the paper and left. I will never step foot into the Daytona location again. They obviously don't need...
Read more10/23/23 I purchased an atlas blower battery and charger it lasts 10 minutes without pushing the turbo button 5 minutes with it this is a 325 purchase I brought it back 10/30/23 and they convinced me to try another battery they were willing to return everything at the time now that I have come back to return a bad tool 11/2/23 Harbor Freight has stated they will not return it and there is nothing they can do I have been a long time Harbor Freight customer hopefully I can dispute it with my Harbor Freight credit card I will no longer be doing business with Harbor Freight. They're using a company called the retail equation for their returns be aware that you may no longer be able to return items to the store and the company is very difficult to get ahold of. Calling Harbor Freights customer service will get you the same results as in store there is nothing that they can do and they refer you to their return company be very careful Harbor Freight is changing you will be stuck with something broken or useless if you are not careful I think this is no longer a company that anyone should do business with maybe look elsewhere...
Read moreWent on line to check if a combination sander was in stock at my local store it showed that they had some. Went to the store and they had the item and took the paper ticket for them to get it from the back there was four in the pouch. We then spent time getting extra types of sandpaper for it plus some other items. When we went to pay for it we were told that they only had one in stock and it was the display, when I talked to the manager he stated that it was out of stock for over a month. When I asked why they would keep the tickets for the item he stated corporate will not them remove them even when they do not have any in stock. Who does this most companies will leave an apology in this spot. I guess they only care about getting you in the store, figuring you will spend money on something. So sad, now I have to drive over 50 miles both ways to hopefully be...
