I remember years, and I do mean years ago while working in Roswell on the midnight shift and standing on the concrete foundation of the Waffle House on Holcomb Bridge rd. And just imagining some place to eat after midnight in Roswell. At that time, the main source of food after midnight was a microwave at the only all-night service station in Roswell. Many months later, the Waffle House was in full operation. I think I eventually burned myself out on Waffle House. Now, recently, while thinking about getting breakfast around brunch time in Hickory Flat, I said.....where can I get breakfast this time of day without driving to Hwy 20 or Riverstone... then Waffle House came to mind. I will say the food has not changed in more than 40 years. Still the same sasuage. Still the same flavor. What had changed was the price. It was kind of slow that time of day. There seemed to be many extra workers just wandering around. I waited for about 10 minutes sitting at the bar and was never acknowledged. I finally moved to the register and told someone that I needed to place an order to go. They pointed to one server that was working on a large table and said she would get your order. More and more time passed, and so did employees walking by and ignoring me. Finally, the cook turned around and ordered someone to take my order. I am pretty patient when being ignored in restaurants, but this total lack of respect even at a waffle house should not be acceptable. Management should address this matter as I was about one minute walking and driving to...
Read moreI have loved this waffle house they're great I usually don't eat at waffle house because in the past there has always and I do mean always been hair in my food, but here I usually notice good practices. But here lately I've noticed some food safety practices not being followed like the cook handling raw meat and then proceeding to grab plates and ready to eat foods as well as utensils and condiment packets and using all the other cooking utensils with the same raw meat gloves contaminating literally everything on the line within just a few minutes of grabbing those raw meats. There's a reason the grill is within view of the customers and that's because waffle house is supposed to pride themselves of following great food safety standards while the customers watch them make their food. Make sure you're paying attention to ur cook guys and waffle house please make sure your training your cooks good food safety practices if u make someone sick u can be sued. I certainly don't want my 4 year old getting sick off a piece of cheese handled by gloves contaminated...
Read moreWe miss Livi-Malakai & Nicole. After concerts they would handle a packed diner and braves crowd with hardly any issues. Last night the lady wanted to argue with me about “over medium eggs. They were clearly over cooked, even the new cook in Training stated that and he said he would try harder. I was not clear on why she would argue when he was honest. Not mention you can utilize Google and see how to cook an egg over medium with photos! Also when someone pays with cash, typically you give change in dollar bills so the customer can tip accordingly. If you act like it’s a big deal to open the register and get change then you should have given change in ones so tip can occur without issue. Get the old crew back, they have personality and know how to cook. That’s the 3rd time i’ve been given burnt bacon. We stopped eating at this location after concerts because Miss, Zero Personality & over cooked food, that we work too hard to pay for, for it to be thrown away. Then treated like we are a bother and she wants to go back outside and chill...
