I used to go to this Wendy's a lot, since it's only 5 mins down the street. However it's become more and more of a last resort stop, as the place has really just gone down hill. The employees are rude, no matter how cordial you are with them. They cut you off while your ordering, tell you to pull up and get mad when you try to finish giving the order at the window that they prevented you from ordering. Asking for anything at the window(napkins, straws that weren't included, etc) gets met with groans and eye rolls. The last few times I've been there the food was not very good either.. cold, burnt to a crisp fries that were put in bag upside down so they just go everywhere. Cold nuggets.. everytime I've gone there o know the employees are gonna have an attitude and be rude and I can get passed that, as I've come to expect it at this location. But when they treat you like trash, and the food is disgustingly cold, there's really no point to spend your money their, especially since they just raised their prices.
Edit* Coming back 2 years later to say my previous review still stands, however the customer service has gotten worse. The same heavy-set woman that prompted my disgust with the customer service is still at this location. I don't know if the woman is a manager (which would speak poorly of the entire franchise) or something, but I'm shocked her poor attitude and outright hostility has been tolerated all this time. Slamming drive thru window open and close and doesn't speak a word or communicate at all, just glares at you with contempt and disgust. The only reason I could bite my tongue to her hostility was the thought that perhaps she has severe Asperger's syndrome or something. She is not fit for any public...
Read moreReally weird visit to what's normally a decent chain to grab a burger from. I ordered a Dave's Double & a Frosty, my lady ordered a Son of Baconator combo. A minute or so later the counter lady put 2 drink cups & a Frosty on the counter. I asked the lady if the drink cup was for me & she said yes, it comes with the combo. I told her I didn't order or want a combo & she said it would take 10-15 minutes to do a refund to my credit card, so I said forget it & give me the combo.
So my burger came & it was just the burger - no drink cup or fries. So I asked her where my combo was, to which she said "I thought you said you didn't want a combo." Yes, those were really the words she spoke to me. So I asked "did I pay for a combo", & she said "yes I paid for a combo". So I asked if she recalled saying it would take 10-15 minutes to refund me her mistake to my credit card, to forget that & give me a combo. She shrugged her shoulders, turned & said something as she was walking away to get my fries & drink cup.
As if the treatment wasn't insulting enough, the burger was probably the most boring I've ever had, even worse than McDonald's which I consider the worst in the Universe. There was one very tiny dob of ketchup, one pickle & a sparse 3 or 4 twigs of shredded lettuce. Tasteless is the best I can say about it, & it stuck like a blob in my gut for a couple of hours. The only positive I can come up with during this horrible experience was the Frosty - it was thankfully nothing they could screw up & was tasty.
Sorry Wendy's, fool me once, shame on you & you don't get a second chance - Burger King or Checker's just got...
Read moreTwice bitten, twice cold: Wendy's in Woodstock, hwy 5, serves up disappointment (and stale buns).
After a similarly disappointing experience (and a refund from the frosty manager, Danielle), I foolishly returned, lured in by the app's free burger offer. Big mistake.
Despite an empty restaurant, my Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger was a repeat offender: cold, with a bun that could double as a hockey puck. My sister's double was somehow warm (?), proving this isn't a fluke, but a pattern.
Back I went, hoping for a resolution. Danielle reappeared, her demeanor as icy as my uneaten burger. Instead of addressing the issue, she accused me of seeking free food, ignoring the evidence (a barely-touched, cold burger) right in front of her.
And the daughter even joined in… And Danielle- misremembering my previous visit and doubling down on the accusations. Forget customer service, they were a tag team of defensiveness and rudeness.
Wendy's corporate, please do better. Danielle is clearly not fit to manage a toaster, much less a restaurant. With a 70 health score rating, it's clear I'm not the only one with a bad taste in my mouth. Save your money (and your appetite) – this Wendy's isn't...
