Ok I'll give you the real truth about Deliver Lean. They love cutting corners. So much that their food is prepared way in advanced only to be later packaged and left inside their delivery vans hours ahead before they even start delivering your food. Each van will consist of 45 to over 60 delivery bags. The bags are never washed. So many times you think bugs that crawled in were from outside nope. They are probably left over bugs from the previous delivery pick up as the bags sit outside. Even the reused ice packs that sits in bags are never clean. Better yet ask if their own employees even eat the food because they won't. That's why they don't even have a plan for their employees because the employees won't ever touch their food. Also there has been incidents of employees making copies of residential and business key to access area where they have made copies only later for places to get robbed. I can't say much about other meal prep services but working for this one I really got to see how it truly works from the inside out. Oh I almost forgot, I never worked in the department that takes your info. But from what I learned through them is that once they lock you in they have little tricks on ways they charge your account. If you decide you want to try the service read real careful. You should see what little loop holes they have to take your money even if you decide you don't want their meals. This company is horrible their whole delivery department quit. Along with many of the meal preps, and many of the packaging team. Many office workers quit too. Management is always quitting too. That's why workers don't care. I've seen how when bags fall down and containers open or break people just grab food barehanded and throw it in a new container. While unsuspecting customers think their deliveries are ok just because we put back on a simple little zip tie. or beaded tie on it again lol. Oh and one last thing I had to edit this post. I went ahead out of curiosity to read others post. I did deliveries for them and I also labeled every bag myself at times. So I do recognize customer names. I can tell you right now many of these 5 star reviews are a fraud. I am laughing so hard right now because I don't even recognize many of the names in the 5 stat reviews. The only thing funnier is that I truly do recognize some of the names of the 1 star reviews. Because I've either delivered to them, I've sorted their bags or labeled them at times. if nobody believes me email me at bigrichgrillz2@yahoo I can even show you pictures from the inside out of this company. I still have the delivery teams phone numbers. I bet they would show photos too. The one thing I feel sorry for is the company Zimmerman. They are one of biggest clients and they have no clue how messed up this company is. They would not eat the food is they really saw how it was all handled. I'm surprised no one has sued this company yet. Especially when a whole department even...
Read moreIf you want just OK food and you don’t mind having the worst of the worst customer service then you should go with DELIVER LEAN. I could write a book about the way they treat their “door to door” customers its seriously that bad. This is it in a nutshell: Howard Wolffs (supposedly in sales) was my very first encounter with Deliver Lean. After discussing my needs and wants of a meal plan, the next day when I called back to follow up on some questions I had and give my payment details to get the meal plan started, Howard had no idea who I was or that we even spoke the day before. POINTLESS. I then spoke with the Vice President of Sales, Peter Cianci later that day. We were able to come to an agreement of a meal plan, and He assured me that he would be sending me a link in order for me to pick my own choices of food -otherwise if this isn’t done what ends up happening is they just pick it for you, calling it the Chefs Choice. I never received an email, or a link, or anything for that matter. So for about a month I let it go by with just having the Chefs Choices, until I had to call to cancel for one week because I was going to be out of town. When I called customer service, a lady named Debra picked up. She assured me she was going take care of it and cancel me for one week and go back to my regular automatic set up the following week. She said I would receive an email confirming this change, she said I would also receive the email with the LINK to be able to pick my own choices. Never got an email, never got my link. Almost before the week was up - I emailed deliver lean and asked them to send me the link I have been told I am going to get numerous times and Howard Wolffs responded with a “give me a call me so I can go ahead and set you up”. After back and forth emails, explaining to him that all I want is my link and I’m not sure why I need to be “set up” or have to call for this to take place... Howard rudely responds back by saying “call the customer service line.” So instead of just giving me the link….the same one…Peter was supposed to send me…the same one....Debra was supposed to send me…He just refers to me a customer service line. FED UP – I told him to cancel my membership completely and to not charge my card. Howard again- responds he can’t make that happen and I would have to call customer service. I then called the owner Scott Harris, voiced my issues, explained very clearly who I was and that I did not want to continue being serviced by them and to NOT CHARGE MY CARD. Woke up this morning – Deliver Lean still charged my card – I am going to assume still has not canceled my meal plan service – and so now you have a wonderful review about Deliver Lean’s serious lack of customer service. Next step - calling the bank to dispute the charge and letting the Better Business Bureau know about this so called number one gourmet meal plan service in...
Read moreAtrocious Customer Service and food that's ok at first... I've been receiving Deliver Lean for about 6-7 months. 1. I've had THE WORST customer service from Deliver Lean....if they respond to me at all. For example, I had previously wanted to cancel my plan (should've followed my instincts), but then decided to start again because Andy said he would work out a special plan for me, which included free delivery. Starting the following Monday I was supposed to receive my meals, but did not. When I contacted him about this, he basically said "Oops, I forgot to start your deliveries. You'll get meals next week." So I said ok and went the day without food. Next Monday rolls around and no meals. I told Andy again and he sent me a picture of someone else's apartment and said "See? It was delivered." When I told him that no, that isn't my apartment, he never responded. I emailed him again later about it and I received a message that said he was out of office for the next week. So the next day I called and ended up talking to the President. Nice enough guy, seemed like he cared, but since he isn’t the one actually managing the accounts directly, all the promises he made did not come to fruition. Finally after a couple weeks with no meals, I started receiving them again. Then I check my account… I was being charged delivery even though (as mentioned above) I was promised free delivery. About the delivery charge, I have written Andy multiple emails and have left voicemails, none of which have been answered—I assume it’s because I canceled my account and now he couldn’t care any less than before. And to top it off, when I closed my account I still had money left in it, but apparently they just keep it. I also reached out to Andy about this (with no answer). 2. Sometimes they deliver the wrong meal entirely, but that's not such a big deal. The big deal is when you have food allergies, so you select meals specifically because they do not contain your allergen, then the meals shows up with your allergen as an ingredient. 3. They promote referral credits. I referred a friend, she gave my name, but I never received the credit. To be honest, I was so fed up with dealing with their Customer Service that I never even asked for the credit. 4. And lastly, I thought the food was good at first. It tasted healthy, but it is what it is: healthy. After several months though, it started to get monotonous. It was the same options over and over again with very little variation.
Needless to say, I've canceled my plan and would not recommend DL. With so many other healthy delivery and pickup options out there, there is no reason to subject yourself the torture that is their...
