Jozu — Restaurant in Holmdel Township

The staff were super friendly and answered the questions I had about the ramen. The atmosphere is pretty cool. You can sit inside the area where all the food spots are or walk out to other locations.

The ramen, though, was my issue. The price to portion size compared to other ramen spots I've been to wasn't the greatest.

I could look beyond the price, though, if there was flavor. I got the curry broth, and that had almost no flavor, in my opinion.

The egg and beef were okay. Had no complaints with them. Im not a mushroom eater, but they had flavor.

The noodles were not the greatest.

So overall, I'd say if the noodles and broth were better and the portion size for the price was a little better, I'd totally recommend it!

Jozu is the best Asian food in Monmouth County. If you’re looking for the perfect rice bowl, look no further. This place is great. It’s also fresh, amazing, and fast. Food was ok. Issue I had was the menu pricing on the wall was inaccurate. I got a Robatta bowl with beef. Robatta bowls were listed as $14 but I was charged $15. Questioned the employee about the pricing and they advised that the beef was $1 extra even though they didn’t have it listed as an extra charge.
