I went to pick a customers doordash order I'm a regular night door dasher in this area. I gave her the customers name as I'm walking in eating a sandwich and she responded with I have to see it I pulled out my phone with no issue and showed her. She responded with I'm sorry I've had the orders stolen before. I responded I don't have to steal anything just the way it was said I took it a bit personal as I always pick up in this area. And if I wasn't dashing how would I know the customers name, that would just be common sense. Even after I showed her she just continued to speak on it I just grabbed the customers food, and walked out with the weirdest feeling in the world. I literally felt stereotyped. That may have been a situation before and I understand the situation but not every person walking in to pick up is trying to "steal". We have to do better in how we choose our words. FYI. If I wanted to steal a customers food I could still do it even after confirming it and just cancel the order, so that comment just didn't make sense to me which is why I took it a way. But not all staff gave me a hard time shout out to the young kid that works the front. He knows me I've came in several times. Never had he ever gotten a complaint I stole a...
Read moreFirst time I ate at a D'Angelo. It was a vegetarian sandwich. One of the grossest food experiences of my life. The bread mushy (nothing uncommon among). However, the few bits of vegetables (predominantly pieces of peppers) drowned in an overwhelming amount of undefined 'cheese' with zero taste. My son and I each had ordered a full-size of that sandwich (same, vegi). We split the first. 20min later my stomach felt bad, heartburn. My son (22) same 15min later. We then stopped at another chain, got sandwiches as well (one each), dumped the 2nd untouched D'Angelo sandwich in their waste bin and enjoyed the new sandwiches with no side-effects and a happy experience of our taste buds. Concerning the cheese: I'd be surprised if it isn't imitation cheese - called "cheese-analogue" by the 'food companies' that don't mind abusing the name of something completely unrelated and destined to their own good and...
