I am a nomad. I have lived in 9 different states, traveled across country many times, been coast to coast, mountains to the beach. Denny’s has saved my ass more than once. Always knew I could count on these folks regardless of the time, state, or weather.
They need a refresh, but they also do a great job switching up the menu to keep things new. I will take Denny’s over IHOP, Chills, Applebees, Red Robin and many others. And 24/7, come on, that is solid.
Just like any place there are things you do not eat here. Like spaghetti. No way Im going to Denny’s for spaghetti. Like steak, I’ll pass. Or even some type of fish meal, non thanks. Bit at 2:00 am when I am craving some eggs and hash browns, or possibly chicken tenders or even a gut busting burger, absolutely I’m going to Denny’s.
This location is quite peaceful at 3:00 am, and that’s when I visit. Staff is friendly and it’s not packed with drunk fools. Last time my server politely warned me what I had ordered was not a fan favorite, and offered to swap it out if I didn’t like it. Some kind of Mac n Cheese Brisket Bake. And yes, it was freaking awful. I gagged it down, but I was warned. It was a sloppy, watery, dried out disaster. But I was warned and my server was fantastic.
Had the same server tonight and went safer with a burger and the new seasoned fries. Fries were excellent, and the burger was very good. Right down to the presentation and how my egg was cooked on top. Perfectly over-medium. And once again my server was cool as hell. Attentive, fast, and just all around good dude. Wish I caught his name, tall back guy.
Denny’s is getting a bit proud of their food. Menu prices have really jumped in the past two years. Burger, fries and soda was 25.00 and hadn’t even tipped yet. I feel like my burger was approached 70/30, maybe even a lower grade, but it was still good. I do tend to go a bit overboard, but there are some real values on the menu as well.
Just stay far away from that darn Mac n Cheese Brisket Bake. Not the cook’s fault, it’s just a poor menu option and is absolutely atrocious.
This Denny’s os quality for the area and the only game in town late night and...
Read moreIf I could give this place a negative 1 star I would. Walked in , just get stared at and then a waitress says you can sit on one of the tables over there they’re clean. We are sitting for 5 minutes no menus they ask what they can get us to drink, we ask for two waters and menus. We got the menus they must have ran out of water because we never got it. In the next 15 minutes the waitress is walking around complaining about how another waitress was supposed to be at work at 11pm and then 2am and still hasn’t shown up. She’s yelling about how much she hates this “f-ing” job and she can’t handle it. She said that she was just thrown into working from training. There were other employees working also who did nothing but just watched. A cook came from the kitchen asking if she’s taken any orders. She says no because she’s already taking “care” of other people so she doesn’t have time to takes anyone else’s order and said she’s closing the restaurant. There wasn’t even that many people in the restaurant and every customer was quiet and just wanted to have a meal! I don’t understand how hard it was to keep up with that considering all she had to do was take orders/serve. Anyone could do that. At this point I still haven’t gotten the water, it’s 2am and I am simply hungry and tired. I finally just got up and left. As soon as I walk out an older woman goes behind us and post a white paper in front of the door. I didn’t notice what it could have said but I couldn’t care less considered there was ABSOLUTELY NO SERVICE. This place needs to be properly staffed or needs some serious training because I don’t understand how any restaurant could be run this way. Doesn’t look like anyone is doing their job along the chains of command. I’m surprised it hasn’t closed yet but by the looks of it I won’t be surprised if it...
Read moreI placed a curbside pickup order. After parking in the designated area, I called the posted number only to reach a busy signal. I tried several times over the course of about 10 minutes, and could not get through. I was hoping the line was just tied up, even though I could see into the building and did not notice anyone on the phone; in fact, when I finally entered to grab my order, there was not a single costumer in the building and the 4 visible employees were all standing around, avoiding eye contact with me.
I'm guessing they were feeling awkward as I am disabled and require a mobility aid to get around, and they could all clearly see me as I could see them through the window while I was outside calling the line they probably intentionally left tied up. Finally, someone approached and asked if I had an online order (as if being the only car in the lot and being parked in one of the curbside spots didn't make that evident enough). I gave him my name and he handed me my order. I considered asking to speak to the manager on duty, but they were clearly one of the individuals present in the building and therefore a party to the issue of this encounter.
After all of that, I get home only to find that they messed up my order and added an allergen that I asked be omitted in the special directions, and now I can't even eat the meal for which I paid and went out of my way to get.
Needless to say, I won't be returning to this location and would not...
