Stop & Shop — Local services in Holyoke

I wouldn't give not even 1* cause for what I see they haven't changed, when it comes to WIC families. I may be the only one. But I don't care. I have to say this. I honestly feel uncomfortable shopping here when I need to get WIC approved items. It's not the first time that I experienced this negative treatment. It makes me tear cause this has so far been the only place that I have felt that type of way. Once they know I'm paying with WIC, I promise you that their face expression changes, and they speak in a dry way and if theirs like an issue they have no intention in helping. They just made me leave everything, shopping for about 45 with my 3 hyper kids, it was embarrassing. My card wouldn't work with them but it had worked with price rite. I had already came in remembering last time's experience, to again find myself in an embarrassing situation. I had no cash to spend but ended up taking from where I didn't have to atleast take milk nd bread for my kids. I am like so embarrassed. If they don't like WIC families they shouldn't have that option there. Take WIC off the store! I'm for real this time. LAST TIME I GO THERE. So Happy price rite is now...

I am a regular customer at the Stop & Shop in Holyoke mass on Northampton Street. I am a DoorDash so I do shopping at the store. I had a bad experience with the night manager and one of the staff members they would not get me my broccoli and it was only 10 of 9 PM. I have a TBI traumatic brain injury so I get very nervous and upset and I started to get upset and the manager just started making fun of me and she wouldn’t get me to broccoli and she was very rude. I have to say this, but the staff there they are so lazy they would not help me get me my broccoli for my customer. I have never been treated at that store with such disrespect and she knows what I mean that night manager and also the gentleman that got me the broccoli he finally got it but I asked him for help because I couldn’t find the items in the store as a Doordash you’re able to ask the staff for helpthey would not help me very rude staff at night not all the staff just that night manager and the gentleman I have their names, but I don’t have them with...

So did not have a good experience tonight and was very very upset to be turned away from a store that I shop inside of literally on a daily basis. Their closing time was 9:00 p.m. and store policy states that you have to lock the doors at 9:00 not 8:57 not 8:54 , 9 PM. Yes I understand that people just worked a long shift and they're tired and eager to go home. However you are not supposed to close your doors any minute earlier than closing time. You are supposed to let shoppers come in and shop ( obviously within reason, one to two items) which I stated is all I needed to grab. The manager told me she has a big line to get through which literally had three people in it. Very upset with how much money I spend in this store that I was turned away before it even closed!! I am not happy with this experience and will choose to do my shopping elsewhere...
