Really good thin (almost NYC style) crust pizza with a better view (albeit in a somewhat cramped dining room) and a great drinks selection.
We got the margherita and coppa, which was quite tasty and more than enough to share. They make their own dough and pride themselves on using quality local ingredients (wish we had seen the specials before ordering). Can't say I agree with some other hyperbolic reviews (e.g. this was not the best pizza of my life). With their dough and preparation it's like they're going more for NYC style pizza but using ingredients and flavor profiles more at home on neapolitan. They've got creative signature pizzas (The Blue Pear) as well as standard fare, so the whole family can get what they want. If you're on the spit and want pizza with a awesome view, you won't regret...
Read moreOur BnB host recommended that we eat here. I cannot speak high enough of our experience here. I called in a couple of hours prior to dinner to request a reservation for the dining room on the first floor. It’s a cozy space that can accommodate about 4 groups of up to 4 people each. There’s also an open seating area downstairs on a first come first serve basis. The view from the dining area ( both floors) is amazing. The food is fantastic too. We had the daily soup ( Hungarian mushroom soup) and a blue pear pizza. We loved both of these. We came in fairly hungry and the quantity ( One bowl of soup and one 15’ pizza) was perfect for the two of us. Prices are higher compared to most places in the lower 48 but we’ve found that to be the case all over Alaska and understandably so. Overall, a...
Read moreI have to admit, this pizza was good. You can tell it was fresh ingredients. The atmosphere was great looking out the windows to the ocean. The service was quick to get the pizza and the pizza was super hot but not over cooked.
Only downfalls and deterrents for me was the price of the pizza and drinks. One pint of root beer was nearly $10. Pizzas were about $30-33 each. If you have a teenage boy this would feed just them and no one else.
Only other annoyance here is we had leftovers and was told to just put the leftovers on a plate then slide into a paper bag. I’m sorry, if I wanted grease all over my car because it leaks out the bag then I would ask for a bag. I asked for a box.
If you want to splurge and go for some good pizza, this is the place. If you want to be budget friendly,...
