Aloha,
We love to endorse local. My husband native kanaka so we do almost everything local. We haven't been to Chronic Tacos since Co -vid so since we were on this side we were excited. I am a retired chef and pride myself on quality driven , clean experience. Upon entering while the gentleman said hi in a friendly manner. He had food particles all over his face. I was immediately done. The kids wanted to sit inside but the dinning area was gross and sticky. I also noted all the food was uncovered with utensils inside the food pans. (Food safety you don't leave utensils in the food pans). As well the gentlemen called for another worker he couldn't find tongs. So they were using one tong to grab different product. The cold wells were not iced so I know it was not up to temperature because the sauces were separating. There was no management present. My oldest son was the only one to order food. It was the most greasy ever. He said his stomach hurt . We tried to go in but the line was long and the gentlemen were in the weeds. In this economy we as business owners understand the workforce etc but there's no excuse for the quality and cleanliness of your establishment. I was ready to call the health department. I respectfully ask that you ensure your following proper food safety, product rotation, food that is at proper temperature, and a clean environment. It is your responsibility as an owner to provide the community efficient service. Do not reply to this message with any type of generic message. That is not going to efficiently resolve the issue. I have reached out to the email to receive an adequate...
Read moreWe had a drug rep pick up our office lunch order yesterday because our original requested taco ako restaurant happened to be closed on Monday. They brought us 3 different burritos, and 3 different taco plates with beans and rice. It was delivered by door dash . None of 6 of us could eat anything from $120.00 order!
Firstly everything was cold. Everything was watery like it had been sitting a long long time. Next, the Ground beef taco plate’s were a strange tasting gristly meat that was greasy snd wouldn’t chew up. The beans were black, un seasoned and straight out of a can. One had white cold rice instead of Mexican🥺and two taco plates had bean spillage out of the container. All miserable tasting. No taste, no seasoning, greasy gristly meat, pretty bad when six of us agreed, hands down most inedible food ever. Nobody took more that two bites before we tossed everything in the rubbish . How disappointing! Most disgusting food ever. No hot sauce given, no napkins, no utensils, Cold, tasteless and food quality is sub par. Shame on this place for sending such an order out the door with their company name proudly displayed on the outside package. While the aesthetic rep was waiting to meet with us for a pitch they ended up just leaving without a word which was also very strange. Would never recommend this place. I should have taken photos nobody would have...
Read moreI’m here often because overall the burritos are decent, service is relatively quick, and I can make two or three meals out of one burrito. So my complaints should be taken with a grain of salt. 1.) Everyone here is generally friendly, polite and good folks. No hate on any of them as people. 2.) There are two staff that are masters of ingredient distribution and burrito composition (that I’ve seen). The rest of them could use a schooling. Like, brah, why am I gonna want all the guac on one of the burrito, and all the meat on the other? Spread ‘em out even, then wrap it. Also, some of them overload the tortilla then tear it full of holes while wrapping it. Burrito construction 101: begin with the end in mind. 3.) Maybe every other time I’m here (usually dinner) the staff seem overwhelmed. They clearly get bombarded with online orders and don’t have sufficient hands to cover it. Management should look at how they can improve this for their staff and customers. 4.) Deleted: owner took care of it.
Again, I’m here all the time, so when it’s good, it’s good. These are just the common issues when...
