Gulick Delicatessen Kalihi — Restaurant in Honolulu

Stopped to buy some food, not to great. Lady that serve me was listening to her co worker that speake filipino. She pack my food in a disrespectful manner shrimp tempura and vegetable tempura was placed on the chow fun not crispy when I got home and ate them.(very bad) and the shrimp vegetable had more broccoli than any thing else. TANIOKA SEAFOOD AND CATERING IS THE GREATEST PLACE TO EAT OKAZUYA STYLE FOOD!!!! NO ONE WILL REGRET IT, SO EVERYONE TRY THERE!!!

It's okay. Far from how they were when I was growing up. I miss the good old days. My parents use to drive from Kaneohe at least 2xs a month so we could eat one delicatessen from here. And when I worked in Kalihi, I introduced my friend to this place who never ate from a delicatessen...was still ono. Use to be jam packed non-stop. Now that I live Nanakuli and the food is so so, I'll stop like once a year or two to eat there. Hands down best namasu and purple stuff...sorry don't...

An oldie but goodie. The dishes offered at this delicatessen integrates the diversity of Hawaii. Bimbap, Eggplant pork, ume musubi, chow fun, mochiko chicken, the list goes on and on. The servings are intended for a one person portion. Similiar to tapas. The food is undeniable good. What is more delightful, the workers have worked here for a decade or more. It's worth a try and from the location in the center of Kalihi, you will enjoy all the flavors of Hawaii...
