If you're a guy and want a basic haircut that requires no skill then go here but if you want to look good and feel good, don't go here.
I wanted a low taper and a short trim for the front so that I could have a side comb with a longer front. I even showed the lady a photo. She takes 1 glance and says "ok, ok, I do, I do" like she annoyed. She then proceeds to start chopping off my hair to where I look like a mushroom.
I tell her the sides need to be straight not blowing out so she gets huffy and says "If I make it straight then you, just take out your phone, I show you" while shoving a mirror in my face.
She sees the picture and quiets down immediately like she knows she messed up. She then gives me the highest fade I've ever seen then asks me "How short you want the front?" I tell her about 10 cm, she cuts off all of it and now I'm left with a couple of strands for bangs.
I don't know what this lady's problem was with me but it seems that this location has a reoccurring problem of the staff being unresponsive to customers wants, being rude to customers, and simply getting customers in and out without any remorse for their wellbeing.
Now I have no clue what you'll experience as a woman but I'll give you the same warning to stay away from this nightmare because your time and mental health is not worth being wasted at...
Read moreI'm not usually one to name drop, but Henry.. I'm a male in the process of growing out my hair to get those. Chris Hemsworth / Jason Momoa locks and I'm currently in the awkward stage. To avoid looking like a mess, I wanted to get a short trim around the ear's and neck. When explaining this to Henry, he interrupted me three different times. Me being my optimistic self, I assumed he interrupted me so much because he understood exactly what I wanted, being an older experience hair stylist and all. I walked in with 8 inches of hair on top and 6 on the sides. Again, all I wanted was just a slight trim around the ears to clean me up. Henry decided that I actually I needed have 4 inches on top and 1.5 inches on the sides and that I was going to have a comb over. Like what? Not even close to what I asked for! It was done so poorly, at this point I couldn't even commit to keeping the comb over and tell him to just fade up the sides and neck a bit. He probably would have messed up the fade and I would have looked even more ridiculous. And just to add icing on the cake, he declined to wash my hair. Somebody needs to make this right and fix this situation.
TLDR: Growing out my hair, came in looking for just a cleanup around the ears. Left with a stylist choice haircut that was...
Read moreGoing to Fantastic Sams barber shop at Kamehameha Shopping Center and simply asking for a specific way to cut my hair was an overall bad experience since they could not comprehend how to do so, instead of cutting my hair like how I told them to they told me and persisted for me to look through a magazine for a picture of a haircut that they could copy from but I could not find a hairstyle since the pictures it had was only short haired people and I find that pretty sexist since I am a man with long hair and I thought they could provide great service through making my hair look cleaner and even but they did not have the skill to do so but only the skill in copying showing how unoriginal they are and lacking in skill of cutting hair with directions, thus making me unable to get a trim and they made one customer unsatisfied with poor service and they got no profit whatsoever from that one customer, if you are a man with long hair like me please advise yourself to not go to this barbershop and go to somewhere else for a trim if you are still growing or would want your hair to still be long and luscious to get it cleaned up to be more satisfied, and also this is all true and told from...
