Ok, so there are many great reviews allowing readers the ill-informed knowledge of this restaurant. Here is a rough and truthful review of my experience at Han Yang.
First my wife and I arrive before the rest of our party arrive. We were seated quickly as it was not busy at the time. It was around 6:00pm on a Sunday evening. The waitress served our party of 8 (6 adults and 2 youths (age 6 and 11) 8 waters. My wife and I decided that we'd order food before the rest of the party arrived so that we could start cooking to get food ready to eat. We needed to call the waitress over so that we could order since she never came to check on is after serving our water. We ordered the pork belly, korean kal-bi, beef tongue, and the bbq chicken. She took our order and it was quick to come out. She also brought our sides with rice. Now our remaining members of the party arrived and we began to cook. Our grill fire kept extinguishing and the waitress scolded us for putting too much on the grill at one time. I've been to many other yakiniku restaurants and have never had this problem, so I dont know why we were scolded for putting a decent amount of food on the grill. My children wanted something other than water to drink so again, we had to get the waitresses attention to order sodas. She took the order and walked away. My children needed a fork to eat and so we called another waitress to ask for 2 forks. She acknowledged quickly and came back quickly. We were still waiting for the sodas for my children and at this point, my kids were already eating. I then ask the waitress I had ordered the soda from for the drinks and she got irritated because she had forgotten about that order. In the middle of our meal we wanted to add more meats to our order but no waitress was in our area. We kept trying to get ones attention but they kept helping other guests. We finally wave one down and place our order. I moved the water cups to the edge since we had drank them all and I was assuming that they would refill our water cups. During the entire meal, no water was refilled within our whole party. After the meal, I waited for them to bring the bill but it never came. My wife then said to try and head to the register and pay. One of the waitresses came up and said what you like?. I told her I want to pay. She asked what table and I assumed she had known since she was our waitress who never checked on us. The bill came out to $94.38 with the 15% gratuity included. Be it that I was paying for 2 adults and 2 youths (age 6 and 11) I asked youths dont get a discount since they dont eat as much. She ignored my question and requested my payment. WOW! I was tempted to minus the 15% gratuity since they did not deserve it but I paid the amount. The food was great but the service was extremely poor. I extremely encourage you readers to try somewhere else like Shillowon in town. Service is extremely awesome and the food is 100 times better for $5 more. I dont feel that 15% gratuity should be added to the bill automatically. They also need to do something about the youth pricing.
So you all must know, this was my second time eating here and this time reaffirmed that I will not be going back again. Paying $100 for that, I could have gone to a steakhouse and had them make my food for me and and I would have had excellent service of which they deserved a...

As a usual customer at places like gen and sikdorak, we decided to try out this little place that I knew was around for awhile but never got the time to try it. The place was nicer than expected, and they have 2 sections: one for dine in off the regular menu and the other side for yakiniku.
Right to the meats, the tongue and brisket are favorites of mine at any place and we're probably the best cuts I've had in awhile. The brisket didn't seem to fatty, but it was still moist and soft unlike some of the cuts at other places where it'll dry out after a few seconds on the grill. We also tried their "Kobe" and "tenderloin" meats but they were honestly pretty bad. Pork belly was pork belly, not much to say about that. Oh, and their "special" sauce was a little bland compared to the usual brown sauce you get at other kbbq.
The service was OK, but I have to mention something here. They do ADD GRATUITY to your bill automatically no matter how big your party. It does state this on the menu, but I just thought it was a little sneaky since they still have a tip option when you check out.
If you're just in town for some brisket and tongue, you won't be disappointed. Just be aware of the auto gratuity and the somewhat...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible service! The servers were both very rude and inattentive right from the start. We arrived before a few others who joined us, and as we waited they basically were staring at us the whole time giving us a very uncomfortable and impatient look. They practically threw the utensils onto our table as well as our side dishes. Then as I was trying to put salad onto my plate, I was unaware the server lady was trying to put meat on the grill, and that I was holding the salad plate in the way. So rather than let me know, or say "excuse me" (or say anything at all), she simply pushed the plate, spilling the dressing onto the table and almost onto me (without apology or acknowledgement at all). They then proceeded to ignore us the rest of our stay until we raised our hands and called out continuously to get their attention. And they were just standing there talking to each other so it's not like they were too busy. To top it all off the gratuity is included in the check so I guess that's why they didn't feel inclined to earn it. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere. Even the average quality of the food won't make the experience worth it. It is worth noting that they provided excellent service to another table of...
