Edgar's Bakery — Restaurant in Hoover

Edgars has a great product. Unfortunately this is the second time at this location that I have ordered ahead and the cake was not ready for pickup. I stopped ordering from another location in Hoover because I ran into the same problem. Even though I was late for cake pickup after the appointment time cake was not ready. Not to mention they had already charged me for the cake before I picked up. I watched while they took the cake out of the fridge and fumbled around for 20 mins. I was to pick up the cake on the way to a the party and needless to say I was late. Edgars offered 10 dollars for the inconvenience after speaking to their customer service twice. I have spent hundreds of dollars over the years to Edgars for various occasions. Consistently at two different locations their online/ ahead ordering is awful. Do not order ahead! I went in on 6.10.22 & purchased two slices of cake. The young cashier NIAIA wasn't the pleasant person in the bakery. She stared, she didn't greet me, she asked "Is that it?" when referring to me checking out. I only nodded because I really didn't want to go off on this little girl. I paid for my purchase, she gave me my receipt & I proceeded to walk away she then stated "you welcome" That really rubbed me the wrong way as a matter of fact the ENTIRE experience at this location with this young cashier rubbed me the wrong way. Edgar's you should really implement another training course to this young lady about how to address people in public since this is in fact her job, that she applied for. Amazing food, your sweet tooth will start decaying the minute you walk in the door !! There cakes,dainish,cookies and etc can't be beat by nobody(in my humble opinion :) Great staff and quick service One thing to take note of is there Chicken Avocado Wrap was on the verge of being spoiled (pretty sure it was the avocado mix) couldn't finish it(that's a rarity for me) the staff was more then happy to replace or substitute it so I got a second helping of there Pasta Salad (it made me want to hug everyone in sight) it was of the charts!
