Johnny Brusco's New York Style Pizza — Restaurant in Hoover

My first time here, met a friend for pizza and bingo. We both ordered at the same time, my friend's pizza was delivered to me as my order. It was not mine. I was told mine was still in the oven.....for more than 45 minutes! Then we were told they forgot to turn in my order or the cook missed it on the ticket. WHATEVER? Finally got my food midway through the Bingo game. When I approached the manager/owner he was incredibly rude. Said they were busy and that I had gotten my food and an apology. He then asked me if I owned a restaurant and had to deal with people like me?!?!?!?! I'm sorry WHAT? I work in customer service and would have never been so rude to someone who was paying to eat there. Not only that, the waitress, older lady, was also extremely rude and slow. When I tried to get her attention to order another beverage, she snapped at me and said "I see you" I will NEVER go to this place again! And I will spread the word to anyone who will listen, as to how they treat...

Dealing with rude staff not worth the mediocre food.

Ordered a slice of pizza for my kid online as they didn’t like anything on the menu where I’d ordered my own food from and this place was right around the corner.

We were ignored for several minutes trying to pick it up and when the miserable woman behind the counter could finally be bothered to pause her conversation to speak to us, she had an attitude as if WE were inconveniencing HER by patiently waiting almost 20 minutes for one cold slice of sub-Sbarro’s quality pizza from a nearly empty restaurant.

I only said “yes” and my name to her the entire time we were there and she literally yelled in my face because I apparently didn’t answer her question the way she wanted lol. Created a great teaching moment to remind my child how we do and do not speak to others though.

Such a bizarre first and last experience. Glad I only spent a few dollars here, but they would’ve been better spent at Domino’s to be...

I'm rating this place 4 stars because the food was amazing but the service left something to be desired. Our waiter was friendly but the food took very very long to get to the table, even my side Caesar salad took at least 20 minutes to get to the table, the staff was also playing around and talking the whole time we were there. When, the food finally came out.....it was amazing. My husband ordered a large Pepperoni pizza so he could have leftovers at home, he said that was the best pizza he's ever had in his entire life, and trust me he's a huge pizza eater. I ordered the Baked Cheese Ravioli, it was so fresh and tasted so homemade, and I'm very picky when it comes to marinara sauces. That marinara sauce was the best I've ever had. I also had some of his pepperoni pizza and let me tell you, it was awesome! I'm not the biggest fan of pizza, simply because I had it so much growing up. Overall this place is somewhere I would love to come back to...
