The manager’s customer service sucked AXX .. the bayou pasta was cold & bland , my kids meal & fried pickles were also cold.. i notified the waitress about the pasta & she proceeded with the tickets & the meal was still added . I asked could it be removed considering i didn’t eat the food & she responded that they usually don’t but she’ll get the manager . The manger comes over & i smelled the bullshxt from a mile away .. moments later she’s coming up with every excuse as to why she isn’t going to take the meal off my ticket; i didn’t say anything about the food being cold, every mysterious person that came & checked on us proclaimed that “everything was okay”( i only remember one person waiting our table besides the bartenders dropping off food & no one asked ME was everything okay), they could have reheated it for me(per the manager, no one has complained about reheated pasta but it seems to me as if they have a lot of complaints about cold pasta), i could take it home & warm it myself(there was no reason for me to take it home because i didn’t like the taste of it), i complained about the price (money was NEVER mentioned), they usually don’t take off food that was made right(it was cold).. We had to hurry & place orders before the kitchen closed so i didn’t bother asking for anything else, instead just wanted it to be removed from my ticket .. the plate was taken away from me mid conversation but I’m still being made to pay for it which is absurd .. eventually it was removed from my ticket after a 10-20 minute interrogation but i most likely will not be...
Read moreGreat experience from seating to closing of the check, and a staff member happily took a group photo for us before we left. We were a large party (11 total) and our waitress D'Asia did amazing. Food was hot, everything came out promptly, she was very hospitable and fun, and all her menu suggestions were a hit. There's a sign that let's you know big parties will be split at separate tables/booths but close together. It worked out great. Drinks were good, place was clean (yes, bathrooms too), and the energy was great. Games were up on the screen and the atmosphere was laid back and friendly. The manager came by and asked how our visit was we let him know it was excellent. As for the menu there's almost nothing I don't recommend. Personally I didn't try the gator but my table ordered more of it. It looked good, I'm just not that adventurous :) I did enjoy the logs, spinach&artichoke dip, boom boom shrimp, and another shrimp app that had jalapeño (it has a kick but SO delicious.) Main course we had steaks (everyone's came out exactly as they ordered, very important to serious steak eaters), pastas, and if you want a great salad I highly recommend the berry salad with granny apples, blueberries, pecans, and strawberries (DELICIOUS!) Overall it's a great place for date night, a night out with friends, and also family friendly. I'd definitely return. The food was plated so nicely I'm sorry I forgot to take pictures of it that's how much fun we were having. Happy dining and wishing you a wonderful experience at Walk-On's Sports...
Read moreWe were SO anticipating great Cajun food after reading the reviews. That's not what we got. I took my dad to lunch. We're easy; we don't require changes to orders. He ordered the Voodoo shrimp and grits, I ordered the boudain balls. Simple. Cook it as described and it should be good. His shrimp were way overcooked and his grits were as dry as sawdust. I was afraid to sneeze, lest his lunch be launched throughout the dining room. His stomach was upset soon afterwards. My boudain balls... I'm not sure how to describe them. Maybe this way: pre-dried papier mache with a fried coating. The inside was wet, mushy and tasteless. The outside had a crunchy, tasteless, watered-down, very thin "batter", (Elmer's glue, maybe?). I haven't suffered any side effects 7 hours later, but I'm wondering if my DNA might change after ingesting it. Our server was good- no "wow" factor, but she did her job and I tipped above board, having been a server years ago. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant/chain to anyone. If you like Cajun food, study the recipes and try making it at home. It's easy, cheap and MUCH more satisfying....
