Each Oliphant tea pot might as well pour out spiritual communion from their tiny ceramic tusks as we gather with our beloved at a table set for the most meaningful conversation of our lives. Just image the conversations, if you could only have them……

For the lost love of my life, I would give all my wasted and restless youth to see your glowing smile next to me as I pour you another glass of your favorite Chocolate Oolang tea while we whimsically banter over terrible vampire novels and how we will have to re-write them to save single woman of the future from idealizing poorly crafted characters who can only manage cheap dialog through disappointingly predictable plot twists.

For the brother that died to young, if it would resurrect you I would sacrifice an arm so we could again yell like overly caffeinated schoolboys while we pound far to many shots of Oliphant’s Conrado and Doppio espressos while we argue over how Star Wars should have ended and how Disney terribly ruined the whole saga.

For the friend that took a bullet to the chest in Afghanistan, how overwhelmed with joy would I be to reminisce with you about our love of the panini press at the midnight sandwich bar on FOB Warrior while we lavishly enjoy the Oliphant’s gourmet Banh Mi panini.

For the grandmother stolen from me by years of Parkinson’s, my God how I always wanted to have this conversation. To finally hear your beautifully accented voice tell me you love me and listen starry-eyed while you sip your Chai and tell me all your stories of growing up in Japan and traveling the world through 9 decades of the last century.

For the charming daughter who hasn’t spoken to me in years, how I long to hear your silly laugh as you order a pot of strawberry truffle pu-erh tea. All the heartbroken days without you would be mended one glass at a time as I listen to the stories of your friends and your dearest dreams of the future, a father’s hour in pure heaven.

For the father I never told “I love you”, for the grandfather I idolized as a child, for my child never born….

At the Oliphant the stage is set, the perfect table made for a dearest love. Don’t wait, pour the tea, speak the words, don’t miss the opportunity to have the conversation you always wanted or sorrowfully you may have to live with all the words...

If you're looking for a beautiful spot to indulge in some delightful treats, this coffee and tea shop is an absolute gem! From the moment you step inside, the service is top-notch, with friendly staff who make you feel right at home. The London fog tea was simply divine, as well as the dirty chai! The cookies and egg bites—both were baked to perfection! The cookies are soft and chewy, while the egg bites are so delicious and flavorful! 10/10! My son told me this was his favorite place he’d ever been to. This charming spot is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates great coffee, tea, and scrumptious...

This is beautiful spot with such relaxing ambiance! The decor is so unique and stunningly classical! We enjoyed the variety of teas we had, especially the way they were served on the silver trays in the quaint tea pots and cups. Our table had Nutella crepes, meat & cheese egg bites and sourdough cinnamon rolls to eat. All were very tasty! We even took another cinnamon roll home for later!! The staff was fabulous! We had a rambunctious 2-year with us who enjoyed exploring the new atmosphere and everyone was so...

What a find! The decor and atmosphere were beautiful and fascinating. They even had outdoor dining on their wraparound porch. Olifant used fine china and gold colored silverware. The service was exceptional and friendly. And the food! Delightfully different - had a delicious crepe with avocado and basil drizzle. Their loose-leaf chai was the best I've ever had. Would come back to South Dakota just for this restaurant and tea house! Thanks.

This little gem just barely opened a month ago but that being said they are already a phenomenal place and worth stopping for! From the atmosphere and architecture to the vibe and food it's all absolutely magical!! On the lowest level they have a beautiful array of foods and teas and coffees while the upper level offers alternative holistic healing!!! Definitely a must for locals or anyone on a trip to hot springs
