It was a cheap hotel that accommodated our needs which was a pet-friendly place to shower and sleep. The room was clean (hard floors, no carpet.) Beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean and spacious. It looks like the room was recently redone but was not quite finished; spray foam around the floor AC unit to fill in the hole in the wall. The sealant on the bathroom counters and toilet was not cleaned up, after applying, etc. Very impressed with the cleaning staff overall. Someone going up in the elevator with us had spilled coffee and when we came back down less than 5 minutes later it was already mopped up. Hallways were vacuumed frequently. Initially had an issue connecting to the WiFi but after a quick call to the front desk and 5 minutes for them to fix it, was able to connect. I deducted a star due to a lot of conflicting and incorrect information posted. The sign at the front desk said there is a $225 fine for undisclosed pets or smoking in non-smoking rooms. Paperwork I signed upon check-in stated $150 fine. The side doors said, both directly etched on the doors and on papers taped on the inside and outside of each door, that they would be unlocked between 6am - 9pm. Only one side door was unlocked during the day (though not on time) and the rest remained locked the whole time. Breakfast was open from 6 - 9 am but the waffle batter, bagels, etc were not added until a girl in sweatpants who looks like she just rolled out of bed got it stocked around 6:30 on the first morning after we arrived (and the only day were on a time crunch) so only cereal was available until then. No protein options. While the conflicting information had minimal impact on our stay, it did give the impression that the hotel management didn't care that much.

We were in town for the 🐃 🐃 buffalo round up so this location was great. We checked in Thursday afternoon after driving all night. The clerk told us there was a mess up with our reservation so we would be in room #305 that night and then they would correct it for the other two nights and we would move to room #302. That seemed strange because the place didn't seem full. Night one we collapsed in what seemed to be a clean room and two comfortable queen sized beds. (There did seem to be a small possible blood stain on one of the handtowels.) Day 2 we took all our items with us and came back just in time to turn in for bed (in our one queen room) my only complaint was it seemed like the AC wasn't cooling well. Day 3 we left early and when we returned after supper a roach greeted me in the bathroom it was then it all made sense to me that our room was being exterminated the day before. I didn't report it when we checked out early Sunday morning, the clerk was not present and I'm sure they were already well aware of an infestation. I attached pictures of the dead roaches in the bathroom light fixture. Just gross!

Upon entering the reception area, you will be greeted by an aroma reminiscent of the last time you sat—while eating freshly baked waffles—in a recently cleaned port-a-john. The smell shall improve, however. Entering the elevator, you will feel like you're right around the corner from a few people smoking cigarettes. If your room is on the second floor, congratulations are in order as floor 2 has a refreshing neutral odor. Exiting floor three will have you smelling something burnt. The scent of burning tobacco fades and blends with the smell of burning food. Apparently there is a non-stop kitchen operated on the floor. Entering your room, the smell will absolutely improve and smell rather pleasant. I need not mention the condition and quality of remodeled areas or available amenities. If you braved it through the lobby, I doubt you will be bothered by creaky beds or other discomforts.

The management of this establishment is severely lacking! They deserve 0 stars. When we first arrived we tried to check in. We were told that the person behind the desk was only substituting and had no idea how to run anything. He told us to go about our business and he would LEAVE A NOTE and we would have a room when we got back. They left their business in the hands of some random guy who was not an employee and had absolutely NO training. When we came back to check on the room we were given keys and checked in. When we came back after dinner, I tried to get into the room but the keys didn't work. I went back to the desk and she made me new keys. This happened 3 more times. One of the times she went with me because I thought I heard voices in the room. On the fourth attempt, I tried and the key still didnt work but a rude, angry woman answered the door asking me what I wanted. I told the front desk. It turns out the front desk had them as checked out that morning but somehow that was a mistake and they were staying a second night. So essentially they were getting a free hotel room. So now it is after 10pm and I have 4 small children and no hotel room. My mom is handicapped and can't go to the 2nd floor but the only open rooms were on the second floor. They refused to give any sort of discount for all of the trouble. We were told that we needed to stop causing a scene in the lobby. After an all evening ordeal and still not having a room that late at night due to one clerical error after another on their part, they had the nerve to tell us WE needed to STOP MAKING A SCENE! They have no idea what they are doing. Essentially we had paid for some other people to be in our room all night. Needless to say, we insisted on our money back (and a receipt with a 0 balance), we left and went down the street to the Baymont. Do not waste your time and energy with this haphazard...

I have stayed with EconoLodge in the past, but have never been so disappointed. We ended up staying at this location since it was the only Choice Hotel in the area. Never again. Checking in, I had to dial the phone to call someone to check me in. Had to wait for several minutes, which made me question the safety of staying at this location. Another guest came down and told me that I needed to call to get anyone. Seeing the room, I felt a bit better. It seemed to have been slightly remodeled. New floors, new bath (although the corner tub seemed a bit strange), but uncomfortable bed. Our two foreign exchange girls wanted to go swimming, but didn't stay long, as the pool was much too warm. The following morning breakfast was pathetic. No trash can, so we had to collect and pile the trash onto one of the two tables. Only coffee, no juice. The hot water wasn't hot enough to brew my spouse's tea bag. We had to figure out how to turn on the waffle maker and when it was finally pre-heated, the first waffle that my daughter made came out black, it was disgusting. We told her she should try to make another one, which came out much better. There was an open container from Sam's club with mini cinnamon rolls (only a few left) and mini muffins (about ten left). And another guest arrived saying that the breakfast offerings were better than the previous day. ...
