Having eaten at the place before we knew service is always a 1 out of 10 but with nothing else open we did what we had to.
My two cohorts kept it simple for all party's involved and ordered the chicken strips. I guess I was the trouble maker and ordered the crispy chicken salad with no tomatoes. I even tried to take an item away to make the salad construction easier. Well I get my salad with just a few wilted and brown pieces I can discard these with minimal effort, the main problem was not only the amount of onions but the fact onions were invading my semi edible salad in the first place.
Like a good soldier I picked all the onions I could find out. This amounted to at least a qtr white onion or more. Even if I liked onions this amount was ludacris. I felt as if I made a huge mistake and did not complain, due to me not asking for said onions to be yeeted from my salad before they were even placed on the mostly green bed of lettus.
After we finished flagging down a server to actually take our money so we could leave, I peeked at a menu, and that's when it happened. The menu says nothing about any onions in this salad, the liberty was taken to just toss them on with out my consent.
Don't get me going on about the whole hot sauce situation from the last time, no one has time for that. Unless you like being treated like your invisible I wouldn't go here unless you're out of options, no other place is open and your...
Read moreI needed to use the bathroom the women's had a sign on it saying out of order. I asked my guy to guard the men's for me for a minute, he agreed. I start going in and this lady sitting at the bar stops me and declares it is the men's room. I agree and point out that the women's is closed. She's like there's another women's. I thank her and explain that I didn't know since I hadn't been there before. I got back from the bathroom and join my guy. He makes a comment about that and I'm like that girl seemed kind of rude, the way she said that was a bit mean. Then our bartender shows up and says to her other customers something about how she's kind of mean. I realize it's the same person and half aplogize. I was like oh I'm sorry I didn't realize you were our bartender. She said something like yeah you have an issue with me? I was like I did think you were kind of rude while correcting me. She asked for an ID. I gave her my military one. She said she couldn't legally accept it in south dakota. I looked it up and it is an acceptable form of ID in SD. I gave her my driver's license and assured her the birthday was the same on both. She said they are often faked. I told my guy I was not comfortable eating there and we left. Based on my experience I will not recommend this...
Read moreMy bf ordered the large prime rib and I ordered the sirloin steak. We both requested rare tot medium rare. It was 10 min until 5pm so we had to wait until after 5 for the prime rib. When the food came out, the steaks, baked potatoes and toast were all cold as if they had been sitting for quite some time. The sirloin was overcooked and so tough I had trouble cutting it. We spoke to the waitress about it (who was wonderful btw) and she put my order in again. My bf decided to keep his because it had good flavor even though it was cold. So my food comes out again and I dont know what cut of meat it was, but it wasn't a sirloin. It was extremely and foul tasting! Tasted like it had chemicals on it or has been sitting out for days. Its been an hour since we left and I still can't get the horrible taste out of my mouth. The baked potato wasn't cooked all the way either time. Overall not a good experience and not somewhere I'd visit again. We were given a discount of $7 off each meal but realistically I shouldn't haven't been charged for something I couldn't eat either time. The waitress was sweet and apologetic. We realize the poor experience wasn't her fault. This place needs to hire cooks that know...
