Lumiere Blues & Jazz Bistro — Restaurant in Houma

Tried this place on the recommation of a friend. The atmosphere great, the music great. The service not so great. Keeping in mind during covid19, wait staff is hard to find, however training the servers was not done. My wife's order the fried chicken, myself the stuffed chicken beast. Waited 35 minutes for our food. My dish was cold, the beast void of any flavor. The stuffing, as little that there was, warm at beat but tasty. The veggies spot on. My wife's chicken was good, fried nice and hot. Only complaint would be was the one piece was re-fried. The manager did not charge us for my dish, but the waitress seem to be rushing us out. The gumbo was so watery and flavorless. The shrimp were smaller than the tip of my finger. This is disgusting, I don’t think you could even buy shrimp that small in Louisiana. I used half a bottle of hot sauce on everything they gave me and it was still half edible. Tiniest shrimp i’ve ever seen on a po-boy. Little to no dressing. Just bread. The fries were soggy and disappointing. Like how do you mess up fries? They desperately need a new cook and new recipes. Did I mention we ordered a bowl of soup split and got charged for two cups. What kind of restaurant pricing charges more for two cups...

Service was extremely slow even though there were only four tables with customers. Beverages were never brought to the table after being ordered 15 minutes earlier. An employee was sitting at one of the tables loudly talking and rather annoying. We left, and as we were leaving, the obnoxious employee at the table was shouting, "You're losing a customer! You're losing a customer!" Not exactly...
