PINCHY’S VS ADRIAN’S My boyfriend and I were almost “regulars” at Pinchy’s. He would pick me up from work and we would have lunch together. The atmosphere was always relaxing, service was phenomenal, food was GREAT and the prices were even better! We were curious to try the new Adrian’s and see what all had changed.
We were greeted after about 2 minutes of standing in the front of the restaurant, eventually told to sit wherever. We got our chips and waters immediately. We were sad to see some of our favs off the menu but we made do.
The service was pretty poor to say the least. We ran out of chips (which the serving they give is already very small. Bowl not even filled) and we waited about 25 minutes for our food, most of the wait time without chips.
They give us our food, refill chips, busser gives us sauce for our tacos. All good. Then the servers NEVER came back to check on us. I follow them around with my eyes and they’re going back and forth from behind the counter and they’re just fiddling around.
See, when it was Pinchy’s the guys always came to check on us, we didn’t have to worry about refills on water because we always had our own vase of water and we could refill it ourselves! The men who worked there were always really nice and knew us as soon as we walked in. They deserved every good tip we gave them.
These new women who work here need serious training. Since they’re so glued to their phones, maybe they should set a timer for every 7 minutes to remind them to check on their guests!
The food was amazing and during lunch, I think the prices are cut in half. The restaurant just needs to train their servers. Looking at the reviews for the other locations, it seems like it’s a company-wide issue. When I went back to work and shared my experience with my coworkers, they said they had the EXACT same...
Read moreNEW SPOT! Opened about 3 months ago & we finally went after many rave reviews & talk on social media. Walked in & noticed the "industrial look mixed with a very subtle dia de Los muertos decor" my face! We immediately saw we had to order at the counter. I loved the We were greeted by Jen who was extremely delightful, informative & helpful. We were given a number, we sat down & didnt wait long for the food to come out & these really cute wooden plates with catrina faces burnt/flamed on the corners. They do not have your typical chips & salsa, but our server informed us EVERYONE asks & now they are reconsidering. We ordered complimentary margaritas that were really good! There is no bar here, bit will have one in the near future as well. The guacamole came out with 3 large corn tostadas, which was perfect, hubby ordered a beef torta & I ordered the beef tacos. Both came out on the wooden plates & had a beautiful presentation. Food was so on point! & the corn in a cup was so crisp & tasty! We also had a slice of the cake that was on display & I'm not one for sweet stuff, but that cake was divine! Not too sweet. We were sold on the food! Loved the fact that they use disposable "wooden" spoons & paper straws! Our server then brought our check to the table. I want to point out that ordering at the counter made the process so much quicker, rather than to sit & wait for a server to take our order, then to wait for our food to come. I can totally appreciate that. Definitely coming back! Their breakfast menu is very attractive & so are the fajitas! Lots of really cool specials on their Facebook page & you can NOT go wrong with the...
Read moreThis is a review of their queso, not their tacos. I have very strong opinions and I must share them because what I experienced tonight should be considered a crime.
I'd been Doordashing from this restaurant for awhile because, despite my weak-willed digestive system not being able to handle their quesabirria tacos, I kept coming back because they're good.
I got chips and queso tonight, and had to order from somewhere else because they forgot the chips and I was lucky enough that Doordash took the L and refunded me enough to order from somewhere else. I can't really keep tortilla chips in the house due to my wife's corn allergy, otherwise I would have used my own like a normal adult. Once I got my new order of chips from a second restaurant with their own queso, I decided to try Pinchy's since I hadn't thrown it away.
I wish I had taken pictures because what I was met with was a rollercoaster of disappointment. I poured Pinchy's queso into a bowl, and noticed that it was just...plain cheese. Surely, there had to be some flavor wizardry at hand. No way that this $8 6oz. cup I was given was literally just plain melted cheese. I dipped my chip in and sure enough, I was met with the saddest flavor I have ever experienced. This was the "Stuart Little" of quesos. No peppers, no seasoning, nothing. Just a block of velveeta or whatever they get from their supplier.
Pinchy's, if you have read all of this, I am pleading with you: do better. You are charging $8 for plain, flavorless, melted cheese, a feat so incredible that I believe y'all had to actively try and make...
