Waffle House — Restaurant in Houston

After a lackluster experience at a different waffle house a few years ago, i vowed to refrain from ever dining with the franchise ever again. However, this particular morning I was in a pinch for time and needed to patron close to the hwy 6 and i-10 corridor. I reluctantly settled with the idea of risking another potentially unpleasant experience with waffle house. Due to time restrictions, I settled.

This time around per contra, my service was OUTSTANDING!

The entire staff upon arrival was vibing and extremely vigilant. We were greeted by seemingly everyone in the kitchen area. Our tables werw promptly dressed and our waiter (Brianna) expeditiously came to once again greet us with a warm attitude and pleasent smile. It seemed like our drink orders were there almost instantly and the quality of the coffee and juice were much better than I'd experienced with other breakfast restaurants. Our food swiftly came out, perfectly reflecting our orders. Our waiter seemed sincerely concerned about the accuracy and quality of our orders as she checked with just enough but not too much, that is a rare quality in a waiter.

Upon finishing out meal we were approached and queried about our experience from who I believe was a manager. She then handed us our togo trays, bags and wished up a great day. As we exited, as before, the entire staff acknowledged our presence with a friendly goodbye.

I came into that wafflehouse house that morning with pessimistic attitude and ideal of what wafflehouse had to offer. I left a changed man with a newfound respect and admiration for not only this particular wafflehouse or its staff ; but instead the entire franchise as a whole.

Congratulations wafflehouse, you have won back and over...

I hate to even do this because I'm not really a review person, but I am so disappointed in the service I received here. My husband & I came here to eat and the service was not it. I don't know if it was communication issues or the staff was just tired and ready to go, but they kept getting our order wrong. First they added cheese to my husband's eggs, when he asked for plain scrambled eggs. Ok, no big deal. We had to wait a while for our waffles - we both had already finished our hashbrowns and everything else. I ordered pecan waffle, and he ordered chocolate chip - they brought us plain waffles. We we politely told the guy (not our waitress) the brought them to use that the order was wrong, he just kind of shrugged it off and walked away. When our waitress did come, she just sprinkled chocolate chips on the waffle and brought it back. The chocolate chips couldn't even melt by then because the waffle had gone cold. Then I still had to wait even longer for my waffle, because the waitress burned it twice before bringing it to me. Quite honestly, it wasn't the best Bless her heart, maybe she was having a bad day. I just want to take the time to say that this Waffle House is excellent...great food quality and great service. We attended this Waffle House on Christmas Day after experiencing a very awful service at IHOP on Washington ave. After being served hot chocolate on dirty mugs with lipstick and raw chicken we came to waffle house. Our experience at waffle house was beyond excellent. The employees all employees where happy singing laughing and enjoying their night even though they where away from their families on Christmas day. They where all in high spirits, the cooks where enjoying cooking for the customers just gettin it and hustling. I'm thankful that they turned our bad experience into a great experience and served us the best food ever. I would for everyone to give and check this location out...it has good ratings and good high stars for a reason. This will be our new family spot for Christmas day dinner our new tradition starts at the Waffle House!!!!!! Thank you to everyone that was there working the night of 12/25/2018...you all went above and beyond to give my family and I great service and the best food ever...keep up the excellent work. God...
