So if I could id say 3 & a half Stars. First thing they can't take a party more than 8 people and seat them together. We had like 21 or more, people leaving a beautiful Gospel concert. It would have been nice to sit with everyone but some people knew this some did not. When I gave them the number they said we'd be together, ummm NO NOT AT ALL. So that was disappointing! Everyone loved there food, I didn't hear complaints just lots of yummy Tummys were happy and a few take home plates. They did good st trying to keep our drinks filled but struggled a little with a language barrier. But wr saw one main waiter and 2 others trying toi help her run drinks & clear the table. They were kinda busy when we first got there, around 8pm. However they showed down over the next 2 hours while we were there. They have a nice outside area with a huge kids playground that some of us adults were tempted to go play! Also on another note they were great with my service dog! I was not hassled or bombarded with a million questions, not even the ADA allowed ones. This was a huge bonus to not be bothered. Only problem it was sho right inb there because they've got tables on top of one another, our party of 8 had to keep playing musical chairs to get everything ans everyone situated and comfortable. It was a bit of a pain in the begin not gonna lie, but wr finally figured it all out!

Thursday 7pm (Christmas Holiday week) Parking is possible but further away from the door. I'm mentioning this because this was a day it was below 30° (in Houston!). That walk was bone chilling. If you want to feel tall, this is the place for you. The roof slants in different areas of the establishment. This is prevalent in the men's bathroom that's outside (photo attached). I could have misheard the staff when they explained to me that the men's restroom is outside but the women have a restroom outside and inside. If that's true then the men's restroom only has two stalls. That ratio is disrespectful. The food was delicious, savory, and filling. I ordered the quesadillas and it came in 4. I walked away with a box for later (it was still delicious the next day). Service is helpful and plenty. Beans with chips and salsa is new to me but... What a great idea. The beans were scrumptious! One nuance is how packed the restaurant was. They deliberately put the tables close together and you can barely maneuver. The servers do a fantastic job of getting through the aisles but it's a tight fit. I will try them again because they have patio seating, a sandpit for kids, and I want to make sure it was because it was cold that we were packed so tightly.

This is a very unpleasant situation, we went to this location today with the intention of spending a pleasant evening, celebrating the seventh month of pregnancy of our friend and "the manager" named MARÍA FERNANDA HERNÁNDEZ, came to the table to notify us that for this occasion we could eat there but that it would be the last time, we understand the absurd policies of this restaurant that prohibit revisiting the place if you no longer work there, but to say it in such a despicable way, so arrogant and rude was a very unpleasant experience but this did not stop there, this woman not satisfied with doing this to us in front of all the diners called security to remove us from the place, This woman was not satisfied with doing this to us in front of all the diners, she called security to remove us from the place, we were fortunate to have left before that and not be doubly embarrassed, we demand an apology and if possible a sanction to this woman for making us go through such an uncomfortable and humiliating situation, so I hope they communicate as soon as possible before taking legal action against this discrimination.

Went in there for dinner this evening. First of all they had to see it way in the back which I could not understand since there was so much available space in the front and at the bar. I requested to see that one of the high top tables near the bar and was told that they are not being served at those particular tables. We finally settle for sitting at the bar.

Young lady server by the name is Cinthia, was cordial in the beginning. What I didn’t like was it was two of us and she expected us to share one menu. Is there a sort on menus in a restaurant? Upon ordering our drinks and food that we had selected. It took her forever to come back and take our order. In the meantime, a young gentleman to arrive came in. They had a long conversation, even about him working at that location in the Heights. So he was very familiar with the menu. Once we got our food, which was very good!

The following having a very concerned:

1: Using the designated hand sink to fill up containers of water. Which is a violation from health and safety.

We were completely ignored once the gentleman who came in to our right. The Ongoing conversation and ignoring my request.

I had to ask her twice for lemon for my sweet tea, but she made sure that young man to my right had everything he needed and all the extra stuff he requested to eat, drink, good to go and packing for his leg overs

I asked her for to go container which was directly in front of her l, instead of giving it to me. She went and waited on other customers, all up and down the bar, getting their drinks, and I guess after an afterthought, she decided to bring the container.

I had to asked her for a bag to put my container in which took her forever. I don’t know if it was intentionally or she cannot focus and do more than one task at one time. Horrible customer service.

I had to ask her for a bag which is so funny, because the gentleman to my right got everything he need it all at one time.

But the biggest failure came when we tried to pay our bill. She stayed in the kitchen for at least 10 to 12 minutes speaking to someone that was working on the line. We even motion to a gentleman who was standing in the window. We had a flagged him down to tapper on the shoulder & tell her to come out so we can pay our tab. She never came, I went to the hostess desk and asked if I could pay there. They told me no, but they would get someone.. so the other gentleman who came from the back, who was also working on the bar, went head and completed my transaction.

While , the food was excellent, the customer service was horrible. I am going to post this situation to the public on asocial media & your headquarters.

I am truly disappointed in the way that we were treated, because I believe that you can spend your money anywhere and if we select a specific location to dine , we should be treated as well respected customers with the best customer service!

Truly, a very...

Terrible service last night unprofessional management. Sitting at my table at 8:15 pm took 15 + min to be noticed. Had to ask for water, silverware and chips. It took 20 min to receive a large drink with no salt. I received small drink with salt( I am allergic to the salt) Took 15 min to get the next drink that was delivered small again.(ordered large) Spoke to 1st manager apologized but did nothing. Ordered 1 appetizer that we were going to share as the waitress knew. She arrived with no plates. Asked for 2 plates finally in no heurry she brought 1 plate back not 2 plates ( food is getting cold)she had an attitude. We got up to get the main manger Edwin. He came to our table and had another appetizer made and thanked him. He then asked what could he do to make our experience better. We asked for another set of drinks which he provided. At the end of the evening at 10:15 pm The bill was brought to us… He did charge us for the 2 drinks and the drink she had put salt on when I clearly said I am allergic to salt. Ask to speak to the manager again and BOTH had left for the night(we had hope to have left earlier as well). Kitchen manager came out which had no authority to do anything. Called Edwin the GM at the location and he REFUSED to take the drinks off the bill. I am sorry I arrive at 8:15pm order 1 appetizer and because of terrible service takes 2 hours. I have taken huge work parties to this location as well as personal family events. Never again that have lost a long time customer. The location at Bunker Hill and Heights areas is more professional with STELLAR service. If you are short staffed that is not the customers problem and then you allow me the customer to walk out with a terrible experience?? I really felt I was being judged because of my race and being a female...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐ Fantastic Tex-Mex Feast at Lupe Tortilla

Lupe Tortilla is a perennial favorite whenever I’m craving authentic, vibrant Tex‑Mex flavors complemented by exceptional service and a lively atmosphere. Nestled conveniently in the neighborhood, this location offers everything you want in a classic, high‑energy Mexican dining experience.

Walking in, you’re greeted by warm hospitality and a festive, colorful decor. The sizzling fajitas are the real show‑stoppers grilled to perfection, sizzling tableside, with tender meats and a melody of onions and peppers. Paired with their soft, warm flour tortillas and freshly made pico and guacamole, it’s pure comfort food. The enchiladas suizas are another crowd-pleaser: creamy, tangy, and undeniably satisfying.

Complementing the food, Lupe’s margaritas don’t disappoint. They’re perfectly balanced—refreshing, strong, and full of flavor. The house margarita on the rocks is a must-try, and the chips and salsa are continually refilled (which I truly appreciate!). The lunch combo plates are also excellent value, offering generous portions ideal for a midday Tex-Mex fix.

Service here is consistently friendly and attentive. Each server seems dedicated to ensuring you feel welcomed and satisfied, with timely drink refills and helpful menu recommendations. The ambiance is upbeat and welcoming a perfect spot for families, happy hour gatherings, or lively dinner nights.

Lupe Tortilla truly delivers on quality ingredients, flavorful dishes, and a fun, casual vibe that keeps me coming back. If you’re in the mood for hearty Tex‑Mex and a warm, inviting atmosphere, this is the place to go. Highly...
