One of the better Middle Eastern restaurant to try if you are into the food. Location is on Richmond and Dunlavy on the corner of the strip mall. It is a hole in the wall place but don't let it fool you. The waitress was welcoming and nice. She spoke English well but limited understanding. Here was what we decided to order besides soda and water (lol) and naan was on the house (came with spicy pepper salsa and tangy yogurt for dipping; love the kick of the pepper)): Hummus with meat - so good. The seasoning of the meat complemented the hummus so well that we couldn't stop picking at it. It was salted perfectly and add a bit of the pepper salsa if you dare (I recommend doing it) Falafel - ordered 4 since there were 4 of us. The dish came with 3 dipping sides: hummus with chunky chick peas (so good), creamy tahini sauce (slightly bitter, did not enjoy too much) and a creamy eggplant sauce (ok but added a little too much tahini which had a bitter after taste) the falafel was one of the best I tasted since it was not overcooked or dry like I had before. If you like chick peas this is for you Whole fried chicken - chopped up whole fried chicken on a plate of basmati rice and a side cucumbersalad. The food came out piping hot and depending whether you like dark or white meat, I recommend dark meat as the chicken was so moist and juicy. The breading on the chicken was thin but crispy and seasoned very well. I wouldn't mind ordering a bucket of dark meat to go. The breast was dry but we ate everything which meant yummo! Al Aseel Mixed Grill for 5 - this came with all assortment of meats: lamb chops, chicken, beef chunks and kabobs. The smell of charcoal was present so you know that you get this additional essence cooked into the meat. This also came on a large plate of rice with salad. The only meat I liked was lamb as it came out tender and the flavor was on par. The other meats especially the kabobs were overcooked until it was dry. The rice was a good addition and flavored well but it was way too much. Overall I had a good experience and it was different as I don't eat this type of food too often. I will come back and order the fried chicken and hummus with...

This is has got to be the worst and I mean the WORST restaurant I have ever been to. I don’t know where to start. I ordered food for pick up. When I got there and I was already late, I found a dirty place, there is no sense of order whatsoever. It is the literal definition of chaos. I asked about my order and found out it hadn’t been prepared in the first place and they said they couldn’t do it because they claimed (yes claimed) that one of the items was missing so they couldn’t prepare the whole order and that if I wanted my order I had to cancel the first order and reorder it again. When I did again and after waiting there for 30 more minutes, they came out to tell me that they canceled my order for the second time. They said they are “busy” to prepare my order. No apology, no valid reasons given, no admission of fault, nothing. I was angry because why would you make me reorder while I was in the restaurant, so when I complained to the owner, saying that you asked me to order twice, they said they won’t do it because they are busy and that I should call ubereats, and to get the hell out. The manager even tried to attack me and immediately backed down when I threatened to call the police. Only one of the workers there at least tried to apologize. That same guy told me that couldn’t prepare both orders so they claimed one of the items was missing!!!!! That was the only guy who had the bare minimum level of decency to apologize. Very poor management which is pretty obvious by how the place looked like, very rude as evident by how they treat customers. I can’t comment on the food because I haven’t tried it but I will never go there or ever recommend this restaurant to anyone. Overall, a very...

This restaurant is so sometimey and inconsistent, hence the 3 stars. My very first order, they got it right and it was super good! That's why I came back so many times afterward, but each time after the 1st time, I'd come home and look at my order only to be disappointed bc it wasn't made right and I'd eat it anyways bc I didn't feel like driving back. I always order the half grilled chicken and sometimes they'll give me: 4 separate pieces of chicken (thigh, leg, wing, and breast) or they'll give me a half chicken that's not cut into separate pieces. I feel like, if I wanted 4 separate pieces of chicken I'd just go to Popeyes or some other chicken place instead, to order a 4 piece meal, which is why I come here to get a HALF chicken. And I just feel like the uncut half chicken tastes better than the individual pieces lol. So, my last time here, I specifically asked them not to give me separate pieces of chicken (like I've asked several times before) bc I don't like it that way, and guess what? They still did. So, I politely let them know that it was wrong, they apologized, but didn't offer to fix it until I asked for a refund. They ended up fixing it after I asked for a refund, but if I have to go to that extent to get my order corrected, then I don't need to be eating here 💯. I did like this place but I'm not coming back anymore. I'm going somewhere who actually listens to their customers not someone who just gives you what they want and expect you to take it. Plus, I don't have time for inconsistent...

I have changed my review from 5-stars down to 3-stars. There is a simple reason. About a month ago we had a full-grilled chicken (take out) and yesterday I had a half-grilled chicken inside. Both of these had the same problem: More than half the breast meat had been removed from the breast quarters before cooking. From my perspective, that is not an acceptable option and warrent a 1-star review. Even though the grilled chicken is excellent, these two experiences means you have lost my business. Previous review: We ordered the lamb kebab and the half grilled chicken. Both dishes were perfectly spiced and not salty. The cabbage salad and rice balanced both dishes nicely. The lamb was ordered medium and was cooked perfectly. The grilled chicken was some of the best I've eaten, and leftovers were finished the next day! Friendly service and nice atmosphere. We will be back.
