El Taquito Kitchen (Food Truck) — Restaurant in Houston

I don’t get it. This truck is rated high and some of the best tacos and burritos in California come from the food trucks. But this place was a greasy disappointment. I ordered a “Tony’s Burrito” because is was supposed to be big. It was no thicker the two of my fingers and was mostly tortilla. The flavor was non-existent, unless the lard-soaked tortilla is a flavor. And what is with the limp french fries…?

The owner reaponded 3 weeks later with a four word apology.

I am sorry... I can only assume that the good reviews are from family, friends, and employees. There is no self-respecting burrito-lover that would rate this place well. My two stars were actually generous for what I received. And if a restaurant is going to pair Mexican food with french fries, they better be damn good fries.

Who knew the burritos from an Oakland food truck would slay the burritos from a Texas truck.

The lady answering the call is a time waster, nobody is ordering in the background and still says to wait, I called 3 times, 5 min later and the same thing to wait, and instead to make an order on the phone for 1-2 minutes.
