So l Originally called the store to place an order. After giving the owner my credit card info & he quickly ASKED ABOUT HOW MUCH OF TIP. I informed I could tip cash which l felt the driver would better appreciate. He then informed me they only except tips on card then after l said well no tip. He then told me they don’t deliver to my address.
First off it’s $24.00 for some veggie Fried Rice placing an order over the phone, you got to be kidding me. So l was curious to see if I ordered from this restaurant via Doordash. To my surprise when I DOORDASHED 5 mins later to place an order it’s ONLY 14.00 & you want a tip on top of that I think not. I would tip my doordasher cash as always. Like come on. The GREEDINESS OF THIS PLACE IS RELLY SAD. Then had the nerve to ask me if I stayed near bissonnet like Im literally off sage & Westheimer by the Galleria. This restaurant is clearly racist & thinks if you’re African American that they won’t deliver to you really sad. While yes lm a proud African American it’s really mess up I had to go through this. I will never EVER ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN. I will be filing a complaint against the Better...
Read moreI’ve been to quite a few Chinese restaurants outside of the 610 loop (west of it)
This place is the best, I stopped looking for fresh tasting flavorful fried rice. The oils used aren’t heavy. Each piece of meat beef/chicken/shrimp in the special fried rice was so tender.
Hot and sour soup was gulpable from how tasty it was. The spring rolls were crunchy and what I always hope for when ordering.
I love being surprised by excellent food and service on a lunch break.
I also got the General Taos chicken. So juicy and tender that I grabbed one piece and it tore revealing the juiciest piece of chicken I’ve had from a Chinese restaurant in a while.
The atmosphere is relaxed and done well, excellent date spot for the evening
Extremely affordable for the lunch combo
I got enough to feed 3 people with left overs for dinner.
After finished the meal I felt great, no heavy feeling and I was able to get back to work productively
Thank you for an excellent lunch, you got a repeat customer
Next time I go I’ll take some photos since I scarfed everything down so...
Read moreFood is tasty for typical American Chinese. Lunch combos are good, comes with soup and spring roll or cream cheese wanton. During the lunch rush the restaurant is full and there's only 3 people on the floor doing all the seating, serving, and bussing. The last two times I got General Tsos it came swimming in a lake of sauce. Been here during slow times as well and service is better, but there's still an overall lack of attention to detail to really make this place great. Luckily, the food is above par. They do do one thing here that I really appreciate... they clean the menus. Nothing is worse than a greasy disgusting menu. Sooo many places forget that. I've also noted over the years they like their AC. Always a bit cold compared to others, I always bring my sweater. Atmosphere over all is good, even during lunch rush it's not terribly loud or cafeteria like. Parking situation is good, plenty of space. I wouldn't personally consider this an everyday lunch place in terms of prices. Been going here for about 5 years but never eaten here for a dinner...
