I am so excited to have found Emerson UU! I started attending the first Sunday after my move back to Houston last month (January 2015) and immediately signed up to teach ESL there on Saturdays. Everyone is very nice, and it is a Welcoming Congregation - that is, welcoming to the LGBTQ community. Each month prior to the service there is an Adult Religious Education group that discusses that month's topic. Last month it was Islam and this month it is LGBTQ. I am grateful that this church is only a block over from where I live... looking forward to getting more involved and getting to know others...

This "diversity" depends largely upon the neighborhood each building is in. Bering is a nice address.
