Korea Garden is one of the last few Korean BBQ restaurant that still have the grill at the table side for you to cook the meat. But like many other Korean BBQ restaurants, the price of the beef has been steadily on the high side. I was having dinner with a friend and we ordered a seafood pancake, 1 order of the bulgogi, grilled marinated beef, and a seafood tofu soup. It's also good that the waiter asked us if we wanted to cook the meat ourselves or have it cooked in the kitchen as we didn't want our clothes to smell like BBQ meat, we requested to be cooked in the kitchen.
The seafood pancake here is a bit different from other places as the cut is pretty big pizza triangle shape. But one thing I like about it is that they served it with the frying pan that was most likely cooked on. The taste and texture, however, wasn't flavorful as there was barely any seafood in the pancake and it's bunch of green onions in the middle. The pancake itself is a bit chewy and I tend to prefer a little crispy-ness to it. Then the rest of the food came out along with the side dishes and the complimentary one metal bowl of white rice.
I like how the bulgogi meat was served on top of a nice layer of grilled onion on a sizzling skillet, kind of like you getting fajita meat at a Tex-Mex restaurant. All of the side dishes are standard and decently good. The seafood tofu soup was pretty good as well since we requested a soup that's not too spicy and the server suggested that soup, which is on the mark on the spicyness. We did have the server check on us every now to refill our water and see if we needed anything else. There's nothing really stood out as it's a typical Korean BBQ restaurant just like some other ones along the street of Long Point. But it definitely isn't a bad...

I’ve been a loyal regular at Korea Garden for well over a decade, and I can confidently say this place is an absolute gem in Houston’s dining scene. It’s hands-down the best, most authentic Korean BBQ you’ll find in the city.
The food is consistently phenomenal. The marinated meats are always tender, perfectly seasoned, and full of flavor. The banchan (side dishes) are fresh, diverse, and generously refilled — a true hallmark of authentic Korean hospitality. Whether it’s BBQ, stews, pancakes, or noodles, every dish tastes like home-cooked perfection.
One thing that makes Korea Garden truly special is the chef — undoubtedly one of the best Korean chefs in Houston. You can taste the skill, passion, and authenticity in every bite. The flavors here are exactly what you would expect from a top-tier restaurant in Korea.

Read moreFood was good, but the service was uncomfortable at best. I've had great experience dining in this restaurant before, and that's why I'm so disappointed and leaving a review for the first time in a few years. We ordered a bibimbap, which unexpectedly came with a large chunk of mayonnaise—a first for us at a Korean restaurant. When we politely asked if it could be replaced or at least have the mayo removed since it wasn’t listed on the menu and hadn’t been mixed in yet, the waitress immediately responded defensively and passive-aggressively: ‘Do you mean you want to order another dish?’ and ‘I can give you one more spoon, and you can remove it yourself.’ Later, a manager came over, lectured us about the recipe, and kept saying or even yelling, ‘It’s NOT RIGHT’ for us to ask for a replacement. The manager then took the dish for a replacement without saying anything, acting very pissed, and after that, the waitress ghosted us, ignoring us completely, including when we asked for the check. The other staff helped us. The staff’s rude and unhelpful attitude was very disappointing. To be clear, we were just trying to see if they could help because we don't eat mayonnaise anyway. And a polite explanation saying they don’t do returns even if a major ingredient is not listed or an offer to remove it would be ok to us, but instead, we were met with unnecessary hostility. Hope they improve their customer service...
