I want to share my experience here. I honestly thought about not posting it, but I have been silent for too long. I have come here a lot because I really enjoy the food and service until last night. I placed a to go order last night 5.3 at about 8:30 PM. They said it would take about 20 mins and I love close by to the place so I ended up getting there around the time of pick up. I was on a call with a colleague that was a little longer than normal so I ended up walking to the restaurant and stood outside around the window to continue to take the call. I then see an Asian guy young with glasses come out eating something and he is just standing there (mind you I am observing my surroundings while on the call) and I'm thinking he is a waiting customer too. He stands there while I'm on the call and looks at me, and then he goes in his pocket and hits his key fob to lock his car doors and then goes back in. It was a burgundy Nissan with tints. Me thinking he is a customer and is going to go sit down at the table walks behind the counter and it was time for me to go pay and get my food (I'm still on the phone with my colleague and I'm mentioning to him on why this guy was staring at me before everything happened jokingly), I let the guy know that "Hey I wasn't going to do anything to your car, I was on a call and didn't want to come in yet while on the phone.
Well he started to say that wasn't it, and his co-worker started making excuses for him say "Well he always forgets to lock his doors." Mind you he was parked at the front, he could have just hit his key fob from inside and all this would have been avoided; no one would have known. I thought about just not even paying for my food and leaving but I wanted to be the bigger person. Here is the thing, it should not take a black person who is standing outside minding his business to remind you to lock your doors. Yes that part of the area is not the most safest, you should be ensuring that all that all the time. I have forgotten to lock my doors, but what I won't do is go outside, stand there for a minute look at the person the lock my doors in front of them. That is a bit excessive and relays a message to the other person that could make then feel a way and their response could be worse. This is my experience from that night and though I don't appreciate what happened, I am willing to have a conversation with management to discuss this and have conversations about profiling and biases. I'm just disappointed in how the way the situation played out.
I hope you take this experience in...

Amhience and service: We came in on Wednesday around noon and there was not too many people. The interior is simple and very clean, there's a good amount of seating, and there's a fitting vibe of pumping Kpop tunes on the speakers along with kdramas running on the TV in the corner. The tables have a unique call button to alert your server of anything you may need, which is helpful. The waiter was nice and explained the flavors well. The menu is written above the bar and also available as a QR scan at each table.
Food: They offer lunch specials on weekdays so we went for the chicken sandwhich with sweet/spicy sauce and wings combo (6 wings) with honey butter sauce. Each combo comes with a small side of fries and cole slaw. Both meals came out in about 15-20 minutes and they were piping hot. The chicken in both dishes was perfectly cooked - a crunchy crispy exterior with incredibly juicy meat inside. The wings were so hot i burned myself taking a bite because i was too impatient lol. The honey butter sauce was an amazing mix of savory with just a mild sweetness and a lot of umami depth that was addicting. The sweet/spicy sauce was quite sweet and not really spicy at all - we were not a big fan. The cole slaw was a great complement to the fried chicken which served as an effective palate cleanser while also just being delicious in its own right. The fries were very crispy on the outside with a fluffy inside. Our only complaint is that we wish they had some sort of seasoning or unique dipping sauce like spicy mayo - they only provide ketchup. Another great addition was the crispy rice cakes with the chicken wings - they were tossed in the honey butter sauce and absorbed the sauce perfectly without losing their crunchy exterior and soft squishy interior.
Overall, the food was fantastic and the lunch specials are a particularly good deal for korean fried chicken. We can't wait to come back and try the other sauces they have, and maybe also try one of their specialties on the menu! If you love fried chicken cooked right, give this...

A small, unassuming spot on Blalock on the corner of a strip mall, Krisp is a hidden little gem that most people probably drive by a few times without a second glance.
Parking: Plenty in the lot. Order-to-Food: ~15-20 Minutes
I got here around noon with a group of four on a Friday. Initially, there wasn't anyone else there, but a few parties came and went as we were there, including a number of to-go orders. They have about ten tables inside. Each table has a little call button to get service.
With four people, we each ordered one of the six-wing lunch special with different flavors to share. The flavors we got were: Kalbi - Universally the #1 or #2 favorite of the group. All-rounder good ginger soy flavor. Sweet & Spicy- Two of us said it was our #1 and one said it was his least favorite. It's got the spice from gochujang flavor and the sauciness means that your wings will get soggy a bit faster. Honey Butter - One gave this his "most favorite" and everyone else put it around 3-4th. I think the honey flavor was a little too weak. Spicy Soy - Somewhere toward the middle-lower of our choices. The flavors didn't come out too strongly here.
The lunch specials are served with a nice helping of very crispy fries and some coleslaw to null any heat. Every wing basket also comes with some rice cakes, a great touch of different textures that soaks the flavor up. We also upgraded one lunch special for $1 to get onion rings, which are also very thin and lightly battered. On the wings themselves: The batter is much thinner than other Korean fried chicken places in town. The wings are slightly smaller than others, but we ordered another 10-piece to share on top of our lunch special and got a few bigger pieces. The lunch special price is excellent.
Overall, I'd definitely come back and highly recommend the Kalbi and Sweet &...
