Read moreAs a Korean living in Houston, I was really excited to try One Shot Pocha given all the great reviews. However, my first experience here was horrifying. While the service was amazing, the food was extremely terrible. I ordered the army stew, chicken feet, and rice balls. The army stew tasted alright but was filled with onions and had only a few pieces of kimchi and ham. The chicken feet smelled off, and we had to spit them out after the first bite due to a rancid taste. It made me feel sick. We informed the server and switched to the curry cheese donkatsu, but it was clearly air-fried frozen donkatsu with two spoons of microwaved curry on top (confirmed by the server). It tasted and smelled so bad that I was mad they were selling this as authentic Korean food. After one bite, we pushed the food aside and never touched it again.
I am not picky with food and have never written a negative review before, but I had to share this to prevent others from having a similarly traumatic experience. If I could leave zero stars, I would. Despite the terrible food, the service was excellent, and the staff were extremely polite and friendly. I still paid for everything and left a good tip, but I wish I could have just left without paying and given the money to the servers instead. One Shot Pocha, please get it together. This...
