This place legitimately CURED my acne. I've been plagued by acne since I was in high school, I'm 28 now. It's always gone in and out of different stages, but I would get at least one pimple a week - for the past 14 years!! About a year ago it got very severe, I'm talking about 10-15 BIG cystic pimples on my face at a time. I wouldn't even walk my dog unless I had makeup on, let alone leave the house to do anything else without a full face on. It was awful, my self esteem was at an all time low. I dreaded looking at myself in the mirror when I wasn't wearing makeup. Fast-forward to February 2018, I went to see Cheryl and her team for the first time. At my first appointment she spent so much time with me; breaking down what causes acne, formulating a regime and how she was going to treat my acne personally - not everyone's is treated the same. I walked away feeling confident in a cure. The program (including treatment, products, makeup) is not cheap but I can tell you it is 100% WORTH it. As other reviewers have mentioned, you MUST follow the regime to a T. By June 2018 my face was 95% clear, breakouts were incredibly rare and not cystic. I know other people have cleared faster, but my case was pretty bad. It's now been ten months since I first saw Cheryl and I can honestly say that I don't remember the last time I had a breakout, so crazy! I thought I would never be acne free. My scars are almost all the way gone. I regularly go out without makeup on. (This might be hard to understand if you've never had intense acne, but it's a very big deal!) Most importantly, I got my confidence back. I can't thank Cheryl, Liz, Nicole and the whole staff enough. They are so incredible and kind - they really do care about you and will do anything to help. I’m only giving 2 stars because the beginning of my progress here went well. I had been going here for a little over two years, with my first appointment early 2021. First impression was arrogance when I came in for my consultation but I was desperate for help with my skin. The initial appointments felt progressive and I saw my skin improving. I will say there is a very high turn over, because every few times I came it was a new set of employees. Their staff became less skilled and less attentive, and after a certain point there was no more progress being made, it was like a standstill. they stack on product after product without much explanation of what you actually need. Over the two years, the appointment price was increased by $100 for the minimal services they give. Anytime I explain something that bothered my skin they had no solution for it other than “use aquaphor” they continued to use chemical peels and treatments I had stated bothered my skin. The Dr is very arrogant and does not have any warmth towards her staff or patients. If they work for you then great. Just don’t ever think you can test them on their cancellation policy. They are sticklers to the extreme that I’ve ever seen . I’ve worked in Dr offices, I know the process of charging late cancellation fees for patients carelessly cancelling their appointments. But there are times for leniency in patients lives and circumstances that they will not show you here. Your life must revolve around this appointment you make with them. I called to reschedule my appointment today due to severe flood warning alerts in the area I reside as well as other surrounding HOUSTON areas. I left message as each time I called no one answered. Cheryl nor her staff bothered to return my call to reschedule but proceeded to debit monies from my account. Once I saw the transaction pending my account, I called several times and left messages as well as sending a text message for a return call from Cheryl. In each message I advised that my vehicle stalled and flooded in high water in which I had to climb out my car window to escape the water when the flooding occurred the beginning of May. She had her staff return my call stating she was in a “meeting” and could not refund the monies back to my account. Based on the phone call received, she’d rather me risk my life to come to a facial appointment. The young lady I spoke with then proceeds to tell me other clients made their appointment, which has nothing to do with me being that I live 40 minutes away from her office and was recently caught in high flood waters. This is a very inconsiderate, unprofessional, and unethical way to run a business. Cheryl revealed her character during my first visit. I informed her I was currently using Face Reality products that I purchased online and she made me show her my confirmation emails and receipts in which I purchased these products online which led me to think she didn’t believe a word I said then.
