I must mention this review is based solely on customer service. The food is the best, if I could, I'd give it a 10 star for the food. However, from the moment I walked in I was eyed down from head to toe by the manager, the hostess and a group of 3-4 other bussers/employees. As I approached them neither of them head greeted me yet, so I went ahead and let them know table for 1. As Soon as the hostess sat me a very sharp young man, whom was the busser, greeted me quickly and friendly. He brought my chips and asked for my drink order. When he brought my drink he asked if I was ready to order I said yes and gave him my order. A few moments later the waitress came over and bluntly asked "are you the one that ordered the guacamole" I said yes and she said she couldn't personalize the guacamole for me unless I ordered the table side guacamole, I let her know that was fine but that she didn't have to come and do it table side, and she preceded to let me know that she would still have to charge me for the table side guacamole, and she lowered her voice to let me know "you know it's more expensive" I told her that was fine. She then confirmed my food order and I assumed she put the order in for me correctly since she had confirmed it.
Once the manager brought the food out I let him know that was not what I ordered, he turned to look at the waitress whom was right beside me making the table side guacamole(lol) and she told the manager, "oh, I don't know the little boy took her order" so I then told the manager what I had ordered.
So, first of all that "little boy" she tried to wash her hands with to cover her mistakes was dressed much more professional than her, actually had his nametag on, took his time to greet me and attempted to do her job and his at the same time.
Second of all, the fact that she had confirmed my food order and tried to blame him for getting the order wrong is obsolete, because I know for a fact bussers are not allowed to log into the POS system to submit orders, it had to be her.
And yes, I left the tip for the busser Only because you "waitress" since you didn't have you name tag on, did not do your job correctly.
Kudos to "Elvin" (Yay! I managed to read his name, of his name tag before I finished writing this, as I enjoyed my expensive table side guacamole :)) the busser, you have a very bright future ahead of you. Your position in a company does not matter, its your demeanor and respect for others that take you a long way...
Read moreWe have visited this restaurant once before no complaints. So we decided to give it another shot. Big disappointment! We were seated. The waiter came over greeted us and asked us if we wanted a margarita. We said we wanted to order an appetizer. He goes on to ask about the margarita, mind you all in spanish, thankfully I know spanish, however my husband does not. So my husband asked him if he knew english he said yes so he was asked to talk in English so he could understand. What does the waiter do KEPT TALKING IN SPANISH! That alone was enough for us to leave. In the mist of all this, back to the margarita ordeal. I ordered the same watermelon margarita I ordered the first time we were there. The waiter states we have this other melon one and show me the picture. I said no I want the other one that was on the front cover and again he was like, we have this other one. My husband says get us a manager we want another waiter. For some reason he didnt want to get what I wanted and the whole speaking Spanish still, was aggravating. We just got up and left. On our way out we stopped and talked to a manager. Which the waiter never called over instead he went to tell another two waitresses what was going on. I guess never assume anything is our point! Dont assume someone speaks a certain language. Communication is key! If they didnt have the drink that's all he had to say! We will not...
Read moreBefore this location I frequented the location in the Panther Creek strip mall probably about 60 -80 , my ma prob 2x that and we are foodies so that should speak for itself. This location i would go back but not on a regular bc it seemed more commercial less hone made taste. The home made tortillas and salsa rocked. My dude (ex-dude now) had poblano shrimp i liked it but the sauce seemed less home made-y than what I was accustomed to at the woodlands location itts been a few yrs since I visited that one so maybe they've changed hands - Idk...it was good, we came super late which I never do unless its togo bc I've worked in that biz and ppl want togo home I felt rude af however we were a guest of a client...hands tied, but staff was visibly not happy. I would go back for sure....drinks were price-y but top shelf so its to be expected. Definitely check it out, the menu is extensive so you will find something for everyone. I'll just say this Define this is totally rocked at the Woodlands location: Any queso flameado Stuffed avocado Chips salsa homemade tortillas Chk poblano The eggplant dish (and I hate eggplant unless its baba ginush) Fajitas Seafood dishes Pretty much everything in the woodlands was on point and the staff up there is amazingly friendly...maybe this location will follow suit...but id go bk to the 290 location just...
