Mannie's Seafood — Restaurant in Houston

My husband, daughter & I came to eat here today. I was super hungry and was craving some good ol’ Salmon. As soon as we sit down we are asked if we know what to drink. Since I didn’t get time to check the menu I ask what drinks they have. I don’t get a response. So I quickly order water. I then get asked if I know what we will eat. Once again I haven’t picked up the menu yet, so I ask for time. The menu doesn’t have pictures of the food, so it took me a bit longer to read it.

Usually with a menu with pictures, if the food looks appealing, I’m all game & I choose faster.

She then come back again, to ask as she sees my husband go to the car. He went to fetch my phone. So I give her my daughters order and mine. Since I haven’t had a chance to speak to my husband in reference as to what he will eat. She says she will be back again. A few minutes later he is back and she takes his order.

My husbands plates arrived first. I was informed that my Salmon would be a while, which I was surprised since she took my daughter’s order and mines first. We all got our foods at different times. About 5 minutes later I received my order. My Salmon was over cooked, my broccoli had no flavor, the fries had no flavor/salt/or spices & my white rice was so bland and dry. About 5 minutes afterwards, my child got her food. She ate her burger, but she didn’t like the fries as well. My husband also mentioned he definitely tried better elsewhere at a cheaper price. It was crowed we ended up waiting about 10 minutes we had to seat in 2 different tables because there was no table ready , we are a total of 7 yes big family , anyway anyway we order a family plate food was real good. .. But i think we were charged more than what the menu said i should it checked the menu before we left compared to the ticket . Well anyway we thought it was going to be a lot cheaper ... UPDATE Mothers Day 2022 we decided to come back well they told us waiting time is between 20 minutes to 30 minutes 😏 well we wait a little over an hour 😠 until i went and complain , they keep saying all they have to do is clean the table I'm like ok we wait it another 15 minutes so i decided to talk to the manager because they were already 2 large empty tables and no one was cleaning them well that didn't help she had a bad attitude and told all we got to do is clean the table and I'm like but it's been empty for a while and no body is cleaning them let me tell you instead of apologizing she told if you don't want to wait you can go and wait somewhere esle NOT GOOD to talk to customers like that specially after waiting over an hour .... So we decided to walk away bad bad bad bad...

No whites allowed at Mannie’s Seafood restaurant!!! My boyfriend and I tried to eat here, but since we weren’t mexican no one even came our way or even acknowledge us. They didn’t want to help us or seat us and the hostess just looked at us like we were from outer space and she didn’t speak a word of english. So we just sat ourselves down and then some lady came to us and said somebody else was going to sit at that table and asked us to leave. Everybody else was hispanic in there except for us and the way they treated us was like garbage, so my opinion for this place is “no whites allowed”. So if you are not hispanic descent do not come in here, because you will not get good service. So leave before it’s too late, it’s not worth it! The food looked like frozen food anyways and it was not fresh seafood like it should be. So actually I’m glad they asked us leave, because we probably would have gotten sick and I wouldn’t have trust that food with a ten foot pole! Everybody was drunk and it was so loud in there you couldn’t even hear yourself think, much less talk. Worst place ever don’t waste...
