MOD Pizza — Restaurant in Houston

Food is good per usual however the staff were very off putting . I came in during the night shift before closing and the experience was not welcoming at all . The guy ahead of me had already seemed frustrated with the staff and when it was my turn I quickly learned why . The woman making my pizza tried to give me a pre made pizza dough that looked like it was for someone else and they just didn’t want it . It was sitting on a random shelf out in the open and looked stale and like it started hardening from sitting there . I asked her to give me a fresh dough which she did after going back and forth about it . Then after that she seemed irritated to be making my pizza the entire time I was hesitant to ask for stuff because she seemed to have a problem with making it . Then once my pizza was finished the guy stuffed the pizza in a box that it couldn’t fit although it was a to go order and the box couldn’t close . Lastly I asked for a sauce and the guy rudely tossed it on the counter with the lid off as if he was irritated that I asked for sauce , he quickly apologized . However , I love mod but this is definitely my first and LAST time visiting...

Every time I come here something is wrong. The last time they had no ice for their drinks which they didn’t tell me until I purchased my drinks. Then a few times I went and they had no straws. On another visit they had no crushed peppers and no cheese. I don’t know who owns or operates this place but they do a horrible job maintaining it. It’s not hard… no ice? Send someone to buy ice… no straws? There is an heb close by.,, send someone to buy straws. No crushed peppers or cheese? Same thing… but I don’t think I have ever gone to a pizza place with no crushed peppers or cheese, which shows you how bad this place is run. While I should give this place 1 star especially considering I spend 50 dollars here every time plus tip… I gave them two because their pizza is pretty good… if you can enjoy it with your drink, and the missing crushed pepper or cheese. I really like MODS pizza. Their pizzas are really good. However the service at the Clear Lake Place is inconsistent. Sometimes the severs are really nice and they prepare the pizzas really well. However, when it gets busy, the servers try to rush things, they throw the pans on the counter and just throw a bunch of toppings all over the place - the toppings often end up on the counter and not on the pizza! You end up with a terrible pizza in the end. Also, the servers can get very rude when it's busy because they are trying to rush you through the line - just stand in line and see how they talk to their customers - pizza Nazi anyone? The management needs to look at this place when it is busy and try to train their staff to be more consistent in making a...
