We met friends here to celebrate 1 friend starting flight attendant school & my acceptance into a competitive executive mba program. During the festivities another friend couple had a surprise announcement that they had put down on a new house. 🥳🎉
We arrived 8pm Thur 8/18/22. We got a newly minted waitress - unfortunately she struggled a number of times with our drink orders, strangely for us it was the very simple drinks: 1 draft beer sample (eventually we were told it was out) & 1 sangria - we ordered 5 drinks total (2 frozen screwdrivers, deck's garden refresher, redbull tropical tequila & sangria). Our friends had to wait several times as well for theirs. The waitress would drop off most of the drinks then some1 would ask about theirs / reminding her each time but next time she returned still without their/our drink & only seemed to realize there were still missing drink(s) when the person inquired about it. Since it's an electronic ordering system, the food showed up hot & quickly by food runners / other waiters so basically she was just running drinks for us & forgetting a third of them. Very good "comfort foods" here 🤤
Due to the size of our party (8 of us) she automatically recieved 20% gratuity & asked if we wanted to add additional gratuity on top of it (um no) 🙄

Read moreWe sat at the bar around 3pm on Saturday. The place was busy, but not packed like I’ve seen it. It took about 5 mins for our bartender to notice us and the bar top looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for a while (sticky syrup in multiple places.)
We ordered the “infamous brisket grilled cheese.” What an appropriate name considering how awful it was. First, it took over 20 mins for it to come out to us, this seemed high considering it wasn’t busy. Once the bartender overheard us talking about how long it was taking he ran to the back( you could tell he had forgotten all about it.) when he came back out he was holding the plate with a towel and told us to be careful because the plate was hot. I work in the industry so I know when food has been left in the hot window for too long. As you can see in the picture the pimento cheese has a discolored “film” from being exposed to too much heat. The slice of cheddar cheese was sweating like they didn’t melt it, they just threw a cold slice of cheese on the sandwich and relied on the heat from the prepared tub of Floyd’s chopped beef and the heat lamp to do all the “melting.” At $13.95 for 2 slices of sunbeam bread, prepared pimento cheese and prepared chopped beef I’d say that’s a great return for them and sub par at best as a consumer. If you're going to allow your employees to drink there after hours make sure that there can conversate with the people they see every other day. I was not rude I was saying hi and was over less than a minute. That's poor management. I apologized to be nice but I had every right to be upset. Wesley (GM) and Bri (waitress). I got there at 3 had 2 bottles of wine and 4 topo chicos and left at 10 after all the drama. Don't drink at your work don't allow your employees to hangout where they work if they can't be decent human beings and ban customers who spend thousands of dollars there. So your 22 year old employee can drink their and have a bad attitude when approached by regulars saying hi and then throw him under the bus for no reason. I did not say say anything remotely disrespectful until your employee hanging out at work drinking didn't say anything to me went straight to you in seconds and bad mouthed a good paying returning...
