Mr Gs Pizza — Restaurant in Houston

Update: 4/22/23 I ordered 2 pizzas today and they were Nasty. I called and asked the owner if he had a new cook or did they change cooks. She said no and why. I told her the pizza had o taste, no seasoning and the crust was burnt. I eat here alot and told her they have the best pizza in the city. So I was surprised by the lack of taste. She asked me my order and basically got offended, Never offered to redo the order. Just kept saying all is the same. I was kind and very respectful. Since she wouldn't take head or do good business practices. I figured this is the best way to let folks know beware of the change in taste. Papa John's tastes better than this now. -------------‐----------------------------- It use to be 4stars 1/14/21 was my 1st time eating here. Due to covid you call in or order at the front door. They will bring your pizza out to the car. The lady who works there is very kind. The pizza was smelling so good as I was driving home. When I got the pizza home I took a quick bite. Oh my, this sure ain't dominoes or little Cesar's. I ordered the xl Supreme and yummy it was. So I will definitely be going here to get my pizza. It has an authentic taste and...

I've never really preferred thin crust (Chicago style is more my thing) but this place is fantastic -- they manage to do the thin crust without making it saltine-cracker crunchy, and it also doesn't make up the majority of substance. Lots of good flavor and I think they make the sauce.

The husband & wife team that run the place are fantastic and know me well enough now that they ask if I want "the usual" whenever I go in, which I take as a badge of honor. Been there numerous times and it's never disappointed me. Definitely the silver lining of my office relocation to this area about 17 months ago. Plus I've found that, in addition to tasting way better, it's actually a bit cheaper than some of the chain places (with the possible exception of Little Caesar's which is kind of its own league). I don't know how anyone in all the reviews listed here can rate this place well. I checked out these reviews first before going and thought it would be someplace good to try out.

This place is horrible. It's dirty, dark, and the food is terrible. I was served chicken that was hard as a rock. It wasn't chew-able at all. The salads are a joke. Lettuce, carrots, and cucumbers. When I asked for banana peppers, I was instead given jalapenos.

I ordered water with my salad, and the water bottle had some sort of goo all over the side. I had no idea if it was food from something else they stored with the bottles or if it was rat urine.

If I was seeking a pathetic salad, sub par wings, or rat urine bottled water, I would give this place five stars. I would rather eat other peoples left over pizza scraps made from frozen grocery store pizza than eat at this...
