Mykuna — Restaurant in Houston

This was my order of Lomo Saltado (optional 2 fried-egg add-on pictured). The eggs were delicious, yolk at perfect texture and not over/under-cooked.

The fries were golden and with just the right crunch. So tasty to dip those fries in the yolk and flavor them with the savory juice from the meat (lomo).

The accompanying cilantro, herbs, onions, and tomatoes added a depth of rich flavor for the palate.

The Mexican drink jamaica (AKA hibiscus 🌺) was from Churrazon (across from Mykuna).

Service was excellent, attentive and fast.

Ordered the fish and chips...thinking why was this dish falls under STARTERS for the advertised price (only realized the portion from pictures posted by others later on while waiting for my order...no wonder)....not impressed with the okay food...honestly it was pretty bland...and overpriced for three or perhaps four small strips of fried fish...and another three or four small chunks of fried yucca... disappointed... apparently it was not just me the only one who think so as I also saw postings from others...This is just my experience from my ordered fish n chips...I am not saying all other dishes...

The food were disappointing. I ordered the Pork Belly Fried Rice and the Mykuna Fries, and both didn’t reach my satisfaction or expectations. The fried rice was a bit hard to chew and there were only 3 pieces of pork belly, and it was $16. The fried rice being $16 should at least have more meat. The fries were soggy and sour, not even savory. Overall I’m just very disappointed and I wish I could’ve spent that money at another vendor. If the prices are so expensive, at least serve something that the customers would wanna come...
