Panaderia Tierra Caliente — Restaurant in Houston

This used to be the place to go to for sweet bread. I even stoped going to the other big bakery "Arandas" I loved their bread Customer service is horrible not going to lie, but the bread made up for it. Yesterday I went to buy a cake for father's day; it was last minute so I had to get one from the ones they have prepared already. I was asking what flavors the cakes were and I was rudely answered they are all the same flavor 3 leches with mocha filling or something around those lines. I requested one and they threw it in a box I paid and went home. When I cut the cake and gave my husband his slice he picked up the strawberry and showed us that the strawberry on top of his cake was bitten. It was so obvious someone had bitten the strawberry and placed it on the cake. Horrible. I called store 3 times and was placed on hold twice and third time they just hung up on me. Will definitely not be going back again!!! It was the location on Bellaire and Renwick, I believe it's #1. I'm not sure the name of the lady that helped me while at the store or the one answering the phone. Did not take picture we just grabbed the cake nos box and threw it...

Disappointment 😞 and discrimination, situations like the one we experienced between last night ATTEMPTING (practically begging or BRIBING) to place our order and just now as I sit to finally get my deserved victory piece of bread.....I bite into cardboard are THE exact behaviors that pushed me to study law! I’ve coke hear for the past 6 years and although the presentation of the bread looks great and the bread is organized and it’s fresh . The taste is not the same . I don’t know if the recipe changed but I came hear yesterday around 3 and grabbed concha and a bread that had cream in it and the chocolate concha was soft but no flavor as it used to be back then that tasted chocolately and buttery and softer and the cono looking with cream inside was way too hard to even chew .. now a days is hard finding a real good bakery not only the softness of bread matters but flavor and presentation too .. sad , to taste this company bread now tastes different I use to be a big fan of this bakery and I would drive 30 min to get there...
