When you first walk in, it seems like a small restaurant that could be overlooked, but I was very impressed. The workers all wear face masks as well as shields so I felt very safe while eating there. All the staff was very friendly. The salsa has a good amount of heat and a great flavor and goes well with the homemade chips. My boyfriend ordered a margarita, and lucky for us we stumbled in during happy hour! The margaritas were great, so we got 2 to go. Guadalupe was super sweet and helpful. Our food arrived, and everything was excellent. I had the mole enchiladas and my boyfriend had the asada and pastor tacos. I was genuinely impressed with the food, service, drinks, and safety measures being taken! If we weren’t here just for a vacation, I would come all the time. I highly recommend this place for...

Could have rated 0 if it was a choice. Well, 3rd of July- I Went here for the 1st time, to grab a takeout dinner after a long day of work. Well, the hostess=rude. I kept asking for a menu & she asked me to wait (they were right next to her). So, I waited and 5mns later I just grabbed one. Then I sat at the designated takeout table & waited & waited. All the while I watched a group of 4 waitresses chatting it up near the kitchen, none bothered to welcome or take my order. Absolutely positively rude and since apparently my money/patronage wasn't good enough- I left. Went to another Mexican place down the street and received...

This is the second time in a row that I’ve ordered an appetizer, had it promptly delivered, and then after asking for a moment to look at the menu was given over 30 minutes. I’d say it’s a 75/25 split on language barrier (equal parts my fault) and a server trying to get side work done so they can leave. Which I get. But when you’re forced to wave to get someone’s attention (which I really dislike doing) and they put their head down after seeing you, I don’t know what to do to get management’s attention, other than leaving a review. Anyway, I dropped a $20 on the...

The caldos we're delicious and definitely worth the cost. However, being as there were no other customers in the restaurant during our visit (Wednesday after 4pm), I felt we could have been serviced better. It almost felt as we were unwelcomed or a bother . Maybe she thought I wouldn't pay/ leave a tip??? Or a bad day??? Who knows, but I expect quality service when I'm paying $15 per soup. I would probably visit la tapatía again in the future, but definitely not the same location. Bittersweet experience i suppose. 😶😐😕

The food was really good. I am not so sure about the service. The first server we were assigned was a bit rude and weird and she came off as very unprofessional (maybe she was just super tired!) But luckily she was switched and the second one was awesome! Very helpful and sweet. One star missing because it was actually over priced. But other than that, it was a decent place to dine in!

First time trying this place with my sister, the service was just not well. Our server was very quiet didn’t smile. We had to call the host every single time we needed something. No refills offered, not checked in on once! We got fajita tortas and this was the fajita in it like really burnt and dry. The only good thing was the charro beans and horchata. DONT RECOMMEND!
