My Wife would order spring rolls everyday but she eats here at least 2x/week or more. She always gets the fresh spring rolls and adds chopped cilantro with extra peanut sauce. She doesn't eat much meat and they don't offer many options for fresh vegetables to be added just broccoli, carrots, and cabbage so she'll get the vegetable broth plain then add her favorites at home. I would rate this place 5 stars but they seem to have issues with adding the cilantro to the spring rolls and the fact that I order just the vegetable broth with steamed rice on the side for takeout. This place isn't cheap but unless you're not spending a bunch of money for food they don't seem very happy. I've ordered more and have seen the difference in the customer service I receive as well as with other takeout customers. The guy who is there taking orders I never have any issues with customer service and food is always PERFECT. It's only when it's just the women working there and he isn't in that there are customer service and food quality issues. I've received shrimp that didn't taste fresh and half-a**ed rolls that fall apart when...
Read moreI remember finding this place as soon as we moved our office into the area. I was like this name seems silly. But I digress.
My coworker and I have been coming here and we have been switching between the Mi Quang and the Bun Bo Hue. Both dishes are solid and generally not offered in the area. Surpassingly, we have never actually eaten the Pho. We also, enjoy the small finger foods.
We always try to order the combo appetizer with both Banh Bot Loc and Banh Beo, but they all but one time they are out of Banh Beo. The Banh Bot Loc is really good though.
I've had their bo luc lac once, just because of the namesake and it was good.
They also, allow for ordering for parties. For our customer appreciation they took a large order of eggrolls, fried rice, and banh bot loc. I was able to place the order a few days in advance and it was ready and on time for my event.
These guys are a gem...
Read moreEditing my review from 8 years ago & upping to 5 stars! After trying tons of pho & bahn mi around houston, you realize what a hidden gem this place truly is. And now that I live a few blocks from here, I come in at least once a week. Best Vietnamese food in Houston, best boba with perfect texture & flavor, best pho, best Vietnamese egg rolls, best bahn mi, best vermicelli, best shaking beef platters, really no other flavors in the area beat this place. I don’t venture past the basics on the menu but I see tons of other people trying other authentic soups that look really really good too. Service is extremely fast, food comes out so quick during the busy lunch rush, staff is so nice & gets to know their customers quickly.
Original review: Great lunch spot. Quick, good pho with very flavorful broth! Delicious egg rolls. Haven't tried anything else here, but looking...
